    I have an inkling that this might belong in the Ampitheatre?... but I'm going to post it here anyway...

    Who do you consider to be the better comedic director...?

    [image=http://www.filmmonthly.com/Profiles/Articles/Zucker/zucker.jpg]
    Jerry Zucker... the director/writer of such films as The Naked Gun Trilogy, Rat Race, and Airplane!...

    Or...

    [image=http://www.cnn.com/SHOWBIZ/TV/9808/30/emmys.creative.arts/brooks.jpg]
    Mel Brooks... the man behind The Producers, Blazing Saddles, and, of course, Spaceballs...

    Who do you think has the better mind when it comes to directing or writing comedic films, and, please explain why...

    I'm kinda lazy to post a reason why ( :p) but the Zucker films just have had more impact on me.

    For me it's a tough decision... many of Zucker's films are just outright funny... but Brooks has a certain genius to his movies...

    Mel Brooks by a mile, even though I loathe Spaceballs.

    They're pretty equal to me, but if forced I'd have to go Brooks.

    Mel Brooks, although his more recent movies arent as good as his old ones.

    It doesnt get any better than History of the World Part I.

    I'd definately go with Zucker, but I must say Brooks made a classic with Blazing Saddles.

    Eegh, that's a tough one...I love some of Mel Brooks' stuff, but the Airplane movies had me rolling on the floor. I've only seen three of Zucker's films, so I guess that's not enough for me to judge. But I've especially liked three of Brooks' films, so that kinda makes it even for me, I suppose.

    My, aren't I the fickle one?
