He obviously knew Luke and the Solos very well; and was an explorer. I would like to see him and Luke, in search of some old Jedi relics. Maybe he even finds out something about the First Order, or the Knights of Ren?

 

I can't help but get the inkling that some of the Rebels characters might make an appearance in some capacity, which is always welcome if at least written in well! Though I can't imagine that Ahsoka or Sabine will make the cut - I feel like that's been saved for another series.

As for characters I'd like to see, mostly the OT cast and how they fit into the world. Leia, Han, C-3PO, Admiral Akbar, all the major resistance leaders - I'm sure they'll be integral one way or another given the premise.

I'm hopeful we'll get it see more of Snoke, just for some clarity as to who he is and how he assumed control of the First Order. While it may be divisive, I'd be glad to see Holdo appear in some capacity. Theres a lot of unanswered questions about where she really came from, at least from the Last Jedi, so seeing how she carries herself and interacting with Leia would at least give more insight into her character - which I'm always happy about.

Regardless who shows up, Star Wars shows have had a good track record in how they handle their characters. I'll likely be satisfied regardless.

What's the timeline of this series? I have not seen Awake the Force 8. Is this show before or after that movie?

 

It will start before TFA. Probably few months, max. year before TFA to be more precise. But if its successful enough, I think it will eventually move past TFA and TLJ.

 

Thinking about it, since its anime inspired, hope they throw in some extra Japanese culture references in the form of a Zillo beast sequel. Maybe the First Order has a secret cloning lab where they are finishing what Palpatine started.

 

If Ade Edmondson could revisit his role as Captain Peavey (from TLJ), then I would be very very happy.

 

Zare Leonis! He really should've been there before in S4 of SWR to help out too just as that other boy from S1 was.

Mon Mothma.

 

It would be nice if they would finally explain where is Mon and what happened to her.

Seems that the Lucasfilm story group came up with the explanation she's sick, when it became apparent she won't be in TFA, but they didn't want to kill her in case they will decide to use her in future stories.

 

Maybe we’ll also see Mon Mothma in IX.

 

The actress is still alive so they really should get on that.

I have a feeling JJ is going to bring in a lot of familiar faces for what's being billed as the saga finale. So Mothma seems pretty likely to me. Not least as I suspect we will see a much-augmented Resistance in this one, and not a group of 10 people.

 

Perhaps Han Solo should show up in this too for an episode or two.
