I think Ewan McGregor has done the best job so far, in the two films he's been in. I can't wait to see Ep3 and see if he continues his fine job.


Behind him would definitely be Harrison Ford, and then Sir Alec Guinness.

 

I voted Alec Guiness, but I really think its a 3 way tie between: Alec Guiness,Ewan, and Ian Mcdiarmod.

I'm tied between Sir Alec Guinness and Ian McDiarmid, so I officially voted for Ian, because he had less votes. People have already given enough reasons for Guinness that I don't have to repeat. As for Ian, he has played my all-time favorite character, the maniacal, shadowy Emperor Palpatine. Why, just look at my icon! And my name for that matter...

 

Hmm, this says I already voted but I can't for the life of me remember when or who I voted for I'm going to assume it was either Ewan or Alec.

Guiness is unquestionably the best, with Cushing second, as far as true acting talent goes..


However, i voted for Ewan because of his uncanny Guiness impersonation..

He's also the only actor in the prequels who has been able to capture that original-trilogy-feel..

This might be a poll worth redoing. It dates back six years (not all the films were even out yet), lacks an 'other' option, and doesn't quite specify as to whether it's asking who's the best actor overall or the best actor exclusively based on their performanec in the Star Wars films. That said, it's really a great idea for a poll, and it might be worthwhile to make a new one. Maybe cross out a few names and replace them with an 'other' option, as well as (perhaps) names like Frank Oz, Samuel L Jackson, and Christopher Lee. And maybe Hayden, because he does have some supporters.
