I can't belive I'm hearing this. My school has fought on Parlaonica 4 years ago in a debate that Latin is necessary subject. It is a language of science, a language of knoweledge. It always was and it always will be. You ask why. Becouse it is a cradle of culture, a sign of education. Be happy if you have learned it, don't complain. My school won at Parlaonica, but it is becouse of people like you that language dies.

Actualy, as a student of Mathematics, I disagree. Almost all designations in Math comes from Latin names, especially in English language.

Still, even if you don't use it often, Latin is a language that shows great degree of knoweledge. You should be proud of knowing it.
