Discussions Who is your favorite female Sith/Dark Jedi?

I would say so, as well. In my mind, Lumiya interpreted Vergere's teachings in her own twisted way, and she was not always truthful with Jacen.





Personally, I would argue that Kreia/Traya was not truly a Sith in her heart. More than anything, she was a misotheist.

 

Lumiya doesn’t get near the credit she deserves.

Why? Because her motivations are more than just vengeance against Luke and more cynical than her belief in sacrifice.

What makes Lumiya compelling to me is she really does believe in what she tells Jacen(if she did not I do not believe she would have died for him), but she is also motivated by personal concerns of revenge(even if she denies it).

Lumiya is self aware and reflective to harmonize her motivations-she wants to remake the Sith and bring something new to the galaxy, she believes in a cause greater than her own satisfaction or pleasure-but she does want vengeance and to see Luke hurt.

Which means that her plan doesn’t have a lose option. If Jacen wins and makes a new Sith order-she triumphs, if he fails then he has broken his family getting her revenge.

Once she convinced Jacen-she won. She was going to get one of the things she wanted(a triumphant Sith or Luke broken). That is how savvy her plan is.

People often say that the only one in Invincible who was laughing or won is Lumiya-I say that’s true, but Lumiya was the victor of the story when Jacen killed Mara.

Anything that happened after was a win for her. Jacen lose or Jacen win-she got her Sith order and enacted great vengeance on Luke and his family.

In some ways-you could argue she is the most successful villain in SW.

I miss Lumiya
The first time I heard about her was through a fanfiction, and she immediately fascinated me, as much as Shira as as Lumiya
She is very easily my favorite female villain and I still hope that one day she will return to the canon

And I must be one of the few people here who prefers her to Mara

 

Lumiya always denied selfish motivations when Jacen asked, because one thing she wasn’t lying and two-if she admitted to selfish motivations than Jacen would likely walk away.

But it’s not just cynical-because reading that passage in Sacrifice, there is so much pride and satisfaction when she names him Darth Caedus. And so much peace when she goes to die.

Lumiya ultimately gets what she wants. If not both things.

I don’t think she could fit into canon very well. Timeline wise or in terms of thematic potential. But she deserves more recognition.

 

My Favorite is not up there.

She was a flawed sith, which made her such a good read.

I also love Darth Zannah she is who I voted for. But I doubt Merrin would count she is I think in the unnaffilated force users catagory

 

If she uses the dark side, she counts.

In Revan's case, he could be a woman.

But can you imagine how a female Darth Sidious would be?

Merrin is neither a Sith or a Dark Jedi. So she doesn't count, unless the topic was edited to include Female Dark Side Force user or Nightsister.

For me its a tie between Darth Talon and Ventress with probably Ventress getting the edge cause the character was featured in audio and animated form.

 

Ventress really needs her own mini-series. Her story is so rich and complex.

 

Sadly they made her lose her appeal and edge in the Dark Disciple book. The book was essentially a tie up a loose Clone Wars end like Rebels was for Darth Maul. I always like Asajj over Ahsoka. But I never liked the idea of her having hair that was Komari Vosa,lol.

 

Is Dark Disciple canon?

 

It is, but animation and live action seems to ignore novels and comicbooks when it suits them.

From the perspectives of the One Sith, Darth Talon's loyalty to Darth Krayt was admirable. She was an interesting adversary for Cade.
