    Of all the directors I would love to see make a SW movie, he is probably my top choice.

    What gives you that impression? He doesn’t seem to have had a bad experience with Prisoners of Azkhaban, for example.

    I seem to remember him saying some years later that he regreted that he didn't make another Potter movie. Apparently he had a lot of fun on Azkhaban.

    Right, Azkaban is Cuaron's sole franchise film, but I'd chalk it up as an outlier in his career. (And he's already tackled space too)

    It was definitely an outlier. But he's no stranger to big films. Like Gravity and Children of Men. The latter being, IMO, one of the best science fiction films ever made.

    Never heard of it. But while this casual fan loved all 8 HP films, 3 is one of the best. And Gilliam said this film was more like how he had imagined a HP film should be. So I’ll check CoM out.
