Who should head of Lucasfilm?

Even if Lucas kept the company and made Episode 7-9 so many people would have hated it. Doesn’t matter who it would have been hater by one portion or another. She was made president because she was the best producer in Hollywood. It’s not like she came out of nowhere

 

This! A group withhin the fanbase hated Lucas and they wouldnt be satisfyed with what he would have presented. The ST was illfated from the start.

I mean from what I have heard of his versions I wouldn’t have liked them. Would have liked the ST we got in actuality more. And I say that as someone who liked all 6 previous films.

Michelle Rewjan just now stepped down as Kathleen Kennedy's replacement and VP of all live action projects to just producer. And it seems even if not replacing her, Faveru will have more of a role in guiding future of Star Wars.

 

Favs is just doing Boba and Mando. He's probably a exec producer on Ahsoka but that's it.

 

Faveru and Filoni will be producing all Mandalorian era star wars shows.

 

I think Kevin is already stretched too thin, I think the person that should do it is someone who knows how to produce a film, but also is a storyteller and gets excited about story ideas and has a very strong grasp of how Star Wars feels and what works and what doesn’t.

I'm surprised no more people voted for Dave Filoni.
He carries the franchise since disney star wars.
I'm also surprised to see Katleen Kennedy in the first place.
The sequel trilogy should have settle that she is not capable of leading Star Wars.

Dave Filoni dosent want it. And outside ST trilogy all have been doing great.

Shouldn't we at least limit the list of potential candidates to people who are actually film producers? Filoni has not produced a film in his life.

 

I think tony Gilroy would be good for Star Wars as head of the lucasfilm position

 

But he wont do it.

 

If this thread persists into 2025 and beyond, Other will come out ahead. This can't be a lifetime gig for someone.

 

Being the president of Lucasfilm isn’t a creative role. It isn’t supposed to be. Why would a creative director such as Gilroy limit himself like that?

I dont really mind who could be head of lucasfilm (except for that kevin fiege guy, please not him). KK did both good and bad choices, she's a veteran producer so perfectly fine to me...i'm ok with anyone as long as they realize star wars and other licenses should be quality and not quantity.

 

I think you need a fan of Star Wars and then someone who doesn’t know everything can seek stuff out so. Gunn/ Safran situation would be ideal who that would be I’m not sure.

 

Studios will go more in this direction in the future, imo. A get-it-done producer paired with an actual creative.

 

I really hope so I actually really like this model. The q is would creatives want that whole job.
