One of the top tier composers for sure.
The OT’s score is a big reason why those films are so beloved.
I have high expectations for a Rian Johnson original trilogy and he deserves a fitting composer.

I've gone with Bernard Herrmann. He's most likely placed to score a Rian Johnson trilogy.

Lol I see what you did there.

I vote Bear McCreary - he did amazing work on Battlestar Galactica, and he's got a really inventive style and takes creative risks. If RJ's trilogy is weird tonally, McCreary will meet that musically.

If you bring in Bing, you’ve gotta bring in Sinatra.

In 1983 Kenner would have released a figure named Blue Eyes but, sadly, we're beyond the glory days of Pruneface and Yakface.

I recently watched the 'How To Train Your Dragon' trilogy of films and I got to say, they have one of the most beautiful film scores that I have ever heard, and they are composed by none other than John Powell. I also loved his work in Solo but I think with a trilogy that is larger in scope, he can do so much more.

Thus, I'm casting my vote for John Powell to come back to the Star Wars universe.

P.s. I'm looking forward to a romantic theme on par as 'Romantic Flight' from the first HTTYD!

I don't disagree. HTTYD does have a great soundtrack. I would not be upset but I imagine they will go with someone with more name recognition.

I love Giacchino's work on Rogue One (and can't believe he was able to pull that off in the time constraints he had to work within) but yeah, I would LOVE to finally see Desplat actually get to give a Star Wars score a go.

Wouldn't be shocked, though - if this trilogy does even end up happening, of course - if the composer ends up being Nathan Johnson, and I'd be cool with that.
