If you could save ONE person in ROTS, out of all the characters that die, who would it be? Why?

I'd save Padme, without a doubt.

Why? Why NOT!

Luke and Leia should have been raised by their mother. They should have known her. Make Vader believe she died. But then have Obi-wan, Yoda, Padme, Luke, and Leia all come to live on Dagobah, together, with Bail dropping by to give them news on the outside world every few months/years. Padme deserved to live, she was innocent, she was good.

I would definitely have to go with Jar Jar Binks, he is such a pivotal character in ROTS and I really would have enjoyed to see him in the OT.

But seriously, I would have saved Darth Maul, even though he is in ep1, I think it would have been sweet to see him develop as an actual character and the duel between him and Anakin could have been off the hook.
