I plan to dump the days pictures onto the laptop each night

And I thought I'm soo clever to plan that :p

I have no idea how late we are getting back to the hotel and if I feel like downloading the pictures and uploading them to our webpage after a long day in costume...
BTW I have no idea if the Hampton Inn offers internet acces. But I'm sure I don't want to pay extra for it. So everyone from my FanForce has to wait for the photos till we are back home. How I pitty them [face_devil] :p ;)

I'll probably also dump my pics on my laptop each night. I might go online too, I dunno iif my hotel has wireless net, or whatnot... if it's free local calls, I'm just going to suffer through dial-up and go on through AOL.

What about at the convention itself? Will they allow computers? Is the convention center a hot spot? Is this a question for Sebulba X over in the 'redundant answers' forum?

Laptops shouldn't be a problem to bring in...now whether you want to lug it around or not is up to you. If you try to bring a desktop in, well, you might not be allowed for non-computer related reasons. :p

No idea if the CC is a hot spot or not....from the website it doesn't appear so, only because that's something they can charge people for, so they do.

Thanks! Lugging it around won't be a problem, since we got one of the laptop backpacks, so we can carry it and all our other junk with us. Guess we'll just have to see about the wireless. I'm sure if nothing else theyre'll be some little cafes around where we can grab lunch and jump online.

Yes, gaiatha just verified the Hampton Inn's website and they do have free high-speed Internet access in all roms.
So I guess I'll be checking the boards at least at some point during C3. And I too will be downloading pics to my laptop daily, you never know when you might neet the extra memory space!!

Hampton Inn has free broadband access in our rooms.
At least one of us (Fan Force Sweden) is bringing a laptop, so I think we will be posting on JC, presenting photos from the event continiously. :)

You know, this brings to mind...

If every able-bodied (and able-salaried) SW fan in the free world is going to be at C3, who'll be left behind to mod the JC and keep it from going to hell in a n00b handbasket? :p

I'll be taking a vacation from the boards from April 19th till 27th! I will be checking my email on my cell phone though! So if anyone really needs to get in touch via email they can get me on my hotmail account! :) Though just calling me would work too ;)

I'm bringing my laptop so I can dump the pics from my digital camera at night and upload them to my website. I'm tempted to carry it to the convention center but if it's not a wireless hotspot, I'm not going to bother. This widescreen Gateway gets real heavy in a hurry.
