Wing Bowl 2004

As most of you know, Friday January 30th is Wing Bowl. If anyone is interested the after party begins at Finnegan's Wake 10:00 am.

 

Actually I've never heard of Wing Bowl. Could you elaborate Chris?

 

10am? That's a bit early for drinking. LOL!

 

It's a giant wing eating contest. It's huge. You have to get in line at the FU Center at 3:00 am just to get inside. A lot of tailgaiting and a lot of drinking.

Last year's winner "El Wingadore" ate 154 wings. Then everyone hits the bars at 10:00 in the morning. It's highsociety

Taking Wing

The chickens are getting nervous.

The smell of hot sauce is on the air.

Must be time for Wing Bowl XII.

Once again, Philly.com is teaming with WIP (610-AM) to bring you WB XII, the eating contest/spectacle, from qualifying through the big day, Jan. 30, at the Wachovia Center.

We will be following all the preliminaries, as contestants attempt to eat their way into the field. Successful or not, this video is, um, compelling.

So come back daily, from now till Friday, Jan. 30, as we separate the big-eating wanna-bes from the real deal and crown our new champion.
