'Wonder Woman' Discussion and Speculation

i cant believe hollywood hasnt knocked on my door. i have been playing wonder woman since i was 6. i had silver bracelets made out of duct tape.

as for warrior's ethics, a better word maybe a simple one like CODE. warriors do follow protocol and mission directives. she does this. otherwise she could not have killed max lord. we have a hard time when our soldiers are built and they do battle instead of entertain.

 

Slightly old news, but current Wonder Woman comic writer Allan Heinberg recently gave his picks on who he'd cast for the movie in a Wizard interview.

I think he's a good writer... but a lousy casting director. Don't agree with any of his picks.

 

There has been a bit of news on it recently.

Sadly the news is that the movie is going very slowly. WB execs are saying that is to be expected and its just the way they tend to go on Superhero related projects.

Joss has posted once again to Whedonesque. The big news... the first official draft is finished! And the big mystery... whether that last line in his post is a random name drop or a big hint at who will play Wonder Woman.

 

Morena Baccarin is going to be tied up with SG - 1 for at least this next year.

 

They've still got aways to go on WW before that becomes a concern

 

This is two weeks old, but I'll post it anyway for this thread in case none of you have heard it. Nobody seems to know where this rumor started, but we seem to have a new frontrunner for the role - 24-year-old 5'9 Bollywood actress/former beauty queen (Miss World 2000) Priyanka Chopra.

This was a rumor started on IMDB, apparently by a Bollywood fan. It's totally false.

That being said, she does have a look that might work for the role.

Well, with any luck, this false rumor at least got Joss' attention. She does seem to fit the role eerily well. Stranger things have happened in Tinseltown...

 

when i was a kid i actually convinced myself for a while that i was an amazon adopted by a middle american family. man, i love wonder woman! they better not mess this up.

 

Looks like Silver dropped some more info on the project at comic con. Its mostly background stuff why he chose Whedon, why he chose WW but interesting none the less.

I think I'd rather see Kathy Bates cast as Wonder Woman than Lindsay Lohan.

Lindsay Lohan for Wonder Woman ? Who came up with this idea that guy who made Batman and Robin. If Lohan is anywhere near the Wonder Woman movie I will not go see it.

And before anyone mentions the new Natasha Henstridge rumor... I'm pretty sure that too is bogus.

Saw this today - apparently the part has been cast.

I don't typically watch Idol, so I personally have never heard of her.

There are some close-up shots of her on IMDB, and, as long as she can act, she pretty much looks the part; especially with the way her hair is done in those shots.

Look for the ones on the second page of pictures with her wearing a white shirt.

 

Some bad news: Joss Whedon's no longer attached to this.

 

Which means get ready for a dumbed down, cheesy, Lindsay Lohan playing Wonder Woman.

Too bad. Oh well that saves about $20 at the movies.
