I can only echo George and Everton, a great initiative and a big thank you to all who have made this possible.

 

I would like to echo Grant's echoing of myself and George.

 

it's kind of sad seeing everyone's old icons back again, though. le sigh

 

Ah I think back to June 9th... everyone was decked out in their chosen icon and it was all so exciting...

 

EDIT: on the plus side, have I mentioned that this is my most successful thread ever?

 

I've decided to go icon free now in protest of Englands exit (That and the lack of Black Armband Icon as well)

 

Yep, we call them "Americans".

I think though if you looked at those wearing them, most did it because of the game. I can think of examples of people who weren't, say, Dutch citizens wearing the Dutch flag...
