Would you rather have every book in the world, or all the music?

this certainly is a toughe... I like to have music while reading...

 

Why did you make me choose!

I said books.

I feel dirty.

Something tells me I'd feel that way no matter what I chose.

To quote Bender, "Damn you old man!"

Music just kinda makes me want to be violent.

 

I guess I will go with Music...sure hope I hit the right button.

But since I am a slow reader and not a whole lot interests me...

Plus I like a lot more music...

 

Screw books, cept comic books. I voted music...not any of that tv played poser music though.

 

I'd take the books, because you can quite easily make your own music, e.g. singing, whistling or drumming a rhythm on something or like that, but I don't think my imagination is big enough to give me the worlds all these geniuses have thought of. There is the huge world of science fiction and fantasy, other novels, that show you another world.
And there is wast knowledge in books. Everything mankind knows is somewhere in a book. Also there are whole books where the notes to the greatest music works (and the more simpler ones, too) are collected.

So if I have books, I have everything, even if I can't use it, if I have music, I have only the emotion of another human, without any explanation.

 

But can you whistle make a beat sing and do the bass in the back of your throat? Like the guy on that twix commercial?

I chose books... Its a hard decision though. There are a lot of good books/music and horrible books/music out there... but I love to read so books it is!

I had to say music. Yes, we can all hum, sing or whatever, but life without Bach, Mozart, The Beatles, U2, Prince, Elvis etc., life would be pretty dull. No John Williams? That would be a shame! Not to mention, I think most of us could come up with a decent story (heck, some of us are pretty good at that fanfiction stuff), but would be hard pressed to come up with a decent work of music.

I love music, I really do, but books are just my calling. I love reading, nothing could replace that for me! All the books please!

If I want stories, I can make up my own. I don't have the talent to make up my own music.

 

I chose music because, contrary to what some people belive there IS good music out there. And then you can always go to those classic albums that you've been dying to have. And since I'll have all the music, maybe then I can finally buy a bunch of cool books.


But the question is... Would you have time to read all the books? Or listen to all the CDs? Can you ACTUALLY step away from the JC to read a book or to calmly listen to a CD?

 

I'm listening to music right now, actual good music, music before I was born...but its still great (Forrest Gump soundtrack). See you can listen to music while doing pretty much anything, reading on the other hand you have to concentrate and be quiet and stuff.

 

Dangit! Why does this have to be one of the toughest questions!! It asks for me to choose between 2 of the biggest parts of my life!!

Meh. My g/f's got the books, I'll get the music. Even things out!

 

I voted for books. No batteries, no equipment just thoughts.
