Yoda's World Tour

Hello London! Rachel from San Diego/Inland Empire, California here.

After following Vader's World Tour a few years back, Master--Kenobi of the Santa Cruz, California Fanforce has decided to do the same. She is sending her fried Interactive Yoda (who met his doom during a certain scene in Velvet Goldmine) on a US and World tour.

I'm helping her plan the trip, and we are trying to see which Fanforce would like to be apart of this tour.

Care to join us?

We are eager to send Yoda to the UK. Master--Kenobi's entire goal for the trip is just to have one picture with Ewan McGregor (since it's partially his fault that her Yoda died).

As an FYI, Ewan is currently appearing in Guys & Dolls at the Piccadilly Theater in London. Perhaps if a rep from the UK FF were to phone/visit the theater a photo session could be arranged.
The theater is on Denman St (Piccadilly Circus tube) and the phone number is 0870-0600123.

 

I posted this in the thread in the regional UK board....

I am going to need a contact person. Someone in the group who will take full responsibility of Yoda and ensure that he is properly shipped off (and will also send the shipping number to either myself or Master--Kenobi, so we can keep track of him.)

IF I DO NOT HAVE A CONTACT PERSON BY THE TIME THE TOUR BEGINS, I AM SORRY TO SAY WE SHALL HAVE TO REMOVE YOU FROM THE TOUR. (Which we REALLY don't want to do since the whole goal of the trip was to get him to England!)

What I need from the contact person:
Name, home adress, and email. No, I'm not going to sell it online. Only two people will have a list of contacts: myself and Master--Kenobi. We need your adresses for shipping, email address to say "Hey, he's on his way, hey he's stuck in a blizzard, etc."

Please have your appointed contact person PM me with this information! I need it by Friday!!!

Yeah because i have no plans to travel to London. BUT I did read an interview with Ewan who said while he is doing Guys and Dolls he is not going to sign / have pictures with any fans who approach him at the theatre with star wars items.

 

That is the very point that I have raised on another thread. But while having an angry Scotsman shout at you may not be most people's idea of fun, it might be worth a try.

 

Well some one better come forwards from LOndon because Nottingham is obviously a poor second.

 

Mi, if no one wants to I can be the contact person for this one as well as the one in Canada. However you know I won't be back in London until September, so depends on how you are going to plan the tour I guess

 

Raj is actually going to be out here in San Diego at the end of the month... If I don't get a contact person, I might just wait and send Yoda back with him!

Yoda arrived yesterday in San Diego. I'm getting him tomorrow to take to Comic Con to hand off to Ben.

I'll take pictures of him at Comic Con then post those up before he ships off to London!

We must honour him with festivities aplenty for we do not want to anger the little green man - we've all seen what he can do with a lightsabre

TheDarthVader has agreed to guard ..erhm host.. him - hopefully he'll make an appearance soon and coordinate events.

Unfortunately, I'll be away from London for the next few weeks and will be unable to take part in the Yoda tour But lets not waste this opportunity to show the rest of the FF the glory that is London, and especially how we've recovered since the attacks of two weeks ago.

I was thinking a tour of the main attractions - parliament, the palace, the wheel, leicester square Empire - where we could also catch ROTS , picadilly circus, forbidden planet, the dome - and maybe kings x/russell square - also platform 9 3/4 @ russell square.

If people are willing, maybe also venture out to Elstree studios - I hear they have a loose connection to Yoda

But chop chop people - he'll be hear soon!

 

TheDarthVader has a good reason for being away, he shall still honour his Yoda duty.
