FF:QLD Yoda's World Tour

Good day to you all! My name is Rachel and I am from the San Diego and Inland Empire fanforces of California, USA.

I am helping Master--Kenobi of Santa Cruz, California, plan a trip for her small fried Interactive Yoda to go around the world. As of right now, our little friend will be going all over the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and possibly to Germany, Japan, Singapore and Mexico. We would like to make this a truly world-wide tour.

We wish to know if Australia would be interested in having Yoda come and visit.

The original planning thread is located here. Please reply there before the end of next week if you are interested!

What the tour consists of:

Each fanforce will have 2 weeks with Yoda. The 2 weeks will start the day Yoda arrives. We ask that in those 2 weeks you take photos of him in "touristy, famous, or just plain cool" locations, and that he is shipped to the next Fanforce before the 2 weeks are up. We will be sending a logbook around with Yoda, and a website is being created.

So, IF we were going to get organised enough to have Yoda stay a week or so with us, where would you *demand* he be photographed?

Something that would mean something to his West Coast USA owner(s).

I can think of:
- Australia Zoo with Steve Irwin.
- Ettamogah Pub

Sydney is probably the best place to send it.

 

You know this was tried with Vader but his tour was cancelled before he even left the States, so what are the odds that Yoda will actually make it here in the first place?

 

Vader's tour... yeah. Basically, they didn't want to send Vader overseas because they were afraid of losing it. Yoda, fortunately, isn't a collectors item, and we're eager to ship him over seas. So if you sign up, trust me, you'll get him.

I'd love to have a photo of Steve Irwin with Yoda on his back, a-la Luke in Empire Strikes Back.

 

A picture with Steve Irwin alone would be awesome! Especially since Yoda is frozen in a shocked face!

 

Could be a tough call to get that done, still... You never know

 

I am sure with our powers combined we could acheive such a thing, provided steve is in the country.

Can Yoda swim?

Buffalo, New York already wants to send Yoda over Niagra falls in a barrel, and Southern New Mexico wants to send him floating down the Rio Grande.

 

I was just curious to see if the life guards at the Gold Coast would save Yoda.

I don't think we should pressure the member here who works at Australia Zoo, though. Maybe if a date for Yoda's visit is set, someone (ok me who am I kidding?) could visit the zoo.

Kim and I would love you guys forever if you could get a picture of Yoda with Steve Irwin. I told her about it when I talked to her the other day and she died laughing at the thought!

 

Well it can't be guaranteed that he will be there on any given day, quite often he's overseas or just not at the Zoo that day. But we'll see.
