subtle is not allways good.

you can be too subtle and your subtlety can be wasted.

 

hehe, you know what? I laugh whenever I see the word subtle. I didn't know that the b was silent until several months ago so I've been saying sub-tle, thinking that there was some other word "suttle" with the same meaning

in my head when I'm trying to remember how to spell it I always pronouce the 'B'

 

it is a strange word, but that's the way it'll stay.

 

I used to, when I was like 10, pronounce is with the B I grow out of those things...for example, I just learned how to pronounce vengeance last week

 

good one JW but I must admit, my "subtle" is worse because I thought there were two different words.... it just didn't click in my head

 

it can be kinda confusin, you wouldn't expect to be spelt like it is.
