I imagine its due to a certain somebody's deciding to dress up in a rough homemade Darth Vader costume consisting of street clothes and a lampshade

 

that is one possibility...

another is that I decided to post in it.

btw, the Darth Lampshade ensemble has been since augmented by a colander, two nerf guns, and a Jedi robe. I also plan to add a roll of duct tape and winter boots.

Ahhh, finally it sounds like I shall be able to accomplish one of my goals in life. It has been my intention since I first saw the movie to flirt with Darth Vader, and on my next visit to NY, I intend to do just that

(Actually, I'll just phone all the Applebees in NY (I *think* it was Applebee's I saw a picture of you girls at once...playing SW Trivial Pursuit, or monopoly or something ), and ask them if they've ever had somebody dressed up in a zany costume come in, if they answer yes, I know I'm in the right neighbourhood, and if you paid with a credit card (Or left the cute waiter your phone number ), it'll be even easier!
