@Thena The one to the right hits hard. I also had a semi existential crisis over the weekend as Zelenskyy and I are the same age but I had no idea that he and I share the same birthday. So while he leads his country in a desperate struggle to keep it free from Putin oppression and really protecting democracy on the world stage, I am trying to get high school students thru AP US History along with getting some seniors to pass the US Constitution test.

You remember before he got drafted and now it's been 20 years

 

it makes me feel old that that makes you feel old. i remember when michael jordan was drafted.

 

I remember all the hoopla when Kobe got drafted.

 

i remember more doubt that hoopla. at the time straight out of high school players were rare and had almost always been big men. that and the fact that he only worked out for the lakers were big reasons why he fell to the 13th pick. but kobe did helps set the stage for the hoopla around lebron.

 

When you come across a former high school student of yours in a random encounter, and they casually refer to their wife and kids in the conversation that ensues.

 

When you remember...when Pizza Hut used to have dine-in restaurants.

I think there's at least one in the county I live.

 

I think we may still have one in the area with dine-in space too.

But yeah, I remember that particular decor "style" of those 80s versions (all dark and of course, now extremely dated-looking, with the dark-red plastic drinking classes). Back when hanging out with your friends for a Pizza Hut evening outing was an event to be looked forward to

 

My town has a Pizza Hut but there's no dining in. Not sure if that happened due to the pandemic or if it was that way before.

Our closest pizza hut has been converted into a Japanese Steakhouse.

 

The one closest to where me was made in to a Mexican restaurant.

 

we still have a "dine-in" pizza hut. i haven't been in it since the 90's, but the outside still looks pretty much exactly like that photo.

 

I grew up in New York and we wouldn't be caught dead in a Pizza Hut. There seems to be a good pizza shop on every corner.

 

The very few original pizza huts around here are now like accountant-law offices. The closest actual one is like 45 minutes away.

I miss it, cuz we grew up having special pizza hut nights, but I also know that the stuff they make today isn't the same quality as they used to make.

 

Anyone here remember the "Godfather's" pizza chain? I remember going to one as a kid but I don't think I've seen one in years... (remember their ad tag line?: "Godfather's...the pizza you can't refuse!")

Speaking of things people say, is it me or has there been a MASSIVE uptick in people saying, "one hundred percent" when saying that they agree with somebody?
