Particularly knowing what you're writing about isn't 'popular'.

Thanks. There's probably a personality disorder in there someplace, but we won't mention it.

SatineNaberrie & Cushing's Admirer - this is what art is about!

YKYAFFWW you suddenly have to change some major points of all of your future work, yet you come up with an absolutely hilarious way to do so. :D

When writing the outline, yes I do that sometimes, and a story that will take a character a handful of paragraphs to explain is roughly ten pages long and there are maybe eleven pages in the outline so far and you are still not finished the story that the character is recounting.

Outlining is awesome. Really helps kill writer's block (which the guy that taught the novel writing course said is just procrastination).

When you're totally pleased with how a story arc is going.... until you realize an even better version of it, prompting you to bang your head against a wall for not thinking of it sooner.

When you've written 136,000 words on a fic and there's still ten chapters to write. And that's just Part I.

When you take the Tolkien epic size story and mix with George RR Martin character count and try to tell a friend that is normal. :p

When you screamed, pretty loud because your browser crashed while you were writing comments to four fics and one response to somebody's super-long comment on your fic. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

All that, plus two out of for stories were yours. The other two Kahara's

(by yours, I mean a Chyntuck and a Findswoman story each)

When you feel a single, all-consuming need to remake a story from a comic, movie or TV show and fix it after the creators totally ****ed it up.

In that vein: when 10 words in an RPG article inspires you to write something novella length.

When you basically decide to novelize an RPG supplement, in the interests of doing it "right."

    Pretty much, ditto.

And re. the vid. This guy's mention that the crashed SD meant Starkiller had been there; never occurred to me, but it is a worthy theory.
