...you see a JCC user named DAR and think:

 

...you're watching Dances With Wolves and during the scene where his guide is killed by indian hunters you realize he must have had around 20 Hit Points considering he got his with 5 arrows averaging 4 points of damage per hit.

 

When you're at SDCC with a bunch of other nerds and you hear the beautiful clear sound of the "imperial march" and stop whatever you're doing and try to find where that marvelous sound is coming from, like every other nerd there. It's the siren's song.

This actually happened this year at SDCC. It turned out to be a guy just playing the "imperial march" on his trumpet as he rode down the escalator.

I have the very tail end of it (capturing the last note or two) in the video below where everyone applauds in appreciation.



The next day, the guy did it again and this time my wife was with me and she darted to the sound herself. But she doesn't refer to herself as a nerd, but a fan of live music.
