The protagonists are, for the most part, nine and ten year old kids with a knack for getting in trouble.

Tahiri's family situation is extremely bizarre but you like it.

For the really dedicated:

You know what a "chosen" is.

You know where "Zantares" is.

And you know you are reading oqidaun when characters like Piett and Ozzel are given the credit they so rightly deserve.

 

I asked this question of my readers of 'Three New Sailor Senshi' and this is what they wrote...

princess_meilssa: It has Sailor Moon in it or it is a crossover.

Lady_JadeIt's a crossover, one of the characters is Tenel Ka, when there's a TK/J pairing

Sword_of_SPEA: the NJO did not happen (I really think that sums it all up)

C3PO_R2D2: You want to force the YJK writers to read this, and then continue the series. I loved that series.

Jaded_Girl:...there is a crossover.
...and it's insane.
...and it works. REALLY WELL.
...you wonder why no one's ever thought of this before.
...you find yourself laughing randomly while watching Sailor Moon, Star Trek or Star Wars. People ask what's funny, and you decide that it would take too much time to explain.
...you consider writing the creators of any of the above series- sending them the latest post.
...frustrated by the lack of official, concrete visual imagery, you decide to draw storyboards, scenes and character shots. blush
...you can't remember before the infamous hyperspace dimentional vortex.
...you wonder why there isn't more posing, miniskirts and bows in Star Wars.
...you wonder why there isn't more telekinesis, telepathy and starships in Sailor Moon.
...you chuckle when Jadeite gets frozen in the crystal.
...Jacen and Tenel Ka marry.
...Jaina and Zekk marry.
...the YJK reign supreme.
...the Vong only exist for the express purpose of being utterly dusted.
...the fighting scenes are kick-@$$.
...almost nobody dies.

DaenaBenjen42: ...something really improbable just happened, but it's also really really cool.

Ryalm: ...two completely different story universes mesh so perfectly together that it's uncanny.

-You swear Nen Yim's not dead
-You hate the NJO authors more for killing off Nen Yim than for killing off Anakin or Chewie
-You realize that she has no idea what she's doing and makes it up as she goes along
-The last few lines are obviously the inspiration for the whole thing
-You wonder where she gets her ideas
-You curse her and love her because she gives you ideas
-Tahiri's family line is more convoluted than the wires behind your computer
-Jacen's making out with Nen Yim
-Somebody talks about Anakin, somewhere...

And of course I could also make fun of some of her other habits when writing, like how she saves tidbits of the fic and then compiles them in order. Or writes tidbits and expects me to do the same...

Well, you know that when you read ANYTHING by RedGold it's going to have either Mara Jade and Luke Skywalker, Mara Jade by herself with Luke barely mentioned, or Mara Jade Skywalker pregnant or in mood swings. (Those are my favorites. )

I'm pretty sure no one has done me yet (hehe) so I'll keep an eye on this thread. I know there has to be someone out there who reads me quite frequently.

You know you're reading a fic by DaenaBenjen42 when you realize the fic is finished before you started reading it! Then you have to go back and read it again, because it was so full of emotion the first time through you really didn't notice the plot or the characters! Then you read through again and everything is even better, but still short!
