With these leaked photos it makes me wonder just how much longer Marvel/Disney is going to insist on standing mute on Steinfeld landing the role. The cat and the bag have parted ways guys.

 

It's possible they wanted to make sure they could get production underway and not have to be shut down due to the pandemic before making a confirmed annoucement.

I hope this means that they won't hold back on any content that Yelana plays a part in for D+ simply because we haven't seen Black Widow. You know how many comics I've read where a random character pops up who was introduced in another book that I've never read? It'd be thematically true to the comic book source if she shows up on D+ before Black Widow is released. And I'm sure there's been people who saw MCU movies without seeing a character's introductory movie beforehand, the high attendance numbers for Avengers films pretty much confirms that.

 

The supposedly smartest person in the MCU is an anti-vaxxer.

They must be holding off on announcing the Hawkeye cast for a Disney shareholders meeting or something, generally lead casting is shouted from the rooftops for official sources. Unless the fact that Kate Bishop is Hawkeye only happens in the last episode so um spoilers?

also I hope the people wearing masks in the background are crew/bystanders and not in the shot because it'd be incredibly awkward if in the MCU Kate and Clint are anti-maskers.

I think it must be for the Investor's Day tomorrow. Which is still unusual because you're right they usually don't hold off on casting announcements until after production has actually started. Given how many eyeballs their shoots draw that's tempting fate on getting upstaged.
