He can use the press tour to talk about how exciting it was to return to play the one character he truly loves, Indiana Jones.

 

Maybe that’s just how they got him to play the part in the first place.

“Alright, so are you familiar with the Hulk?”

“What, like the TV show?”

“Um, sure. Anyway, because the Hulk is so dangerous, he’s constantly pursued by an army general, Thunderbolt Ross.”

“Was he in the TV show?”

“And we want you to play Thunderbolt Ross.”

“I don’t do television.”

“It’s not… okay, what if Indiana Jones has secretly infiltrated the US army, and he’s in disguise as Thunderbolt Ross?”

“I’ll work for scale. Television here I come!”

 

Ford actually has 2 TV shows lined up. The Yellowstone prequel and he's playing a shrink in a series by the Ted Lasso guys.

 

He’s decided to kick back and have some fun.

 

I assume he will not be in the films much except for Thunderbolts. Most of the Avengers films Ross was only in a few scenes. He could probably shoot it in a weekend.

 

I wonder if Harrison Ford as red Hulk will give some comments that dosent give crap about any sob stories.

No sorry, Tom Ellis being up for Reed Richards is my cocaine for the next few weeks.

 

Depending how far along Marvel has things planned out and how small some of the appearances are, Ford could probably even Stan Lee his part filming multiple appearances at the same time.

 

The only human being alive that should be auditioning for Reed Richard’s is the Senator from Utah Mitt Romney.

 

I mean, physically, I can actually see it as an older Richards...

 

Why recast Ross and not Black Panther?

 

One reason is because Chadwick defined the character of T'Challa. Also I think this was a call specifically between Feige and Ryan Coogler specifically who's producing/directing the Black Panther movies, to not recast T'Challa after Chadwick's death.

 

They already recast Bruce Banner so nothing in that movie is considered untouchable.

 

Of course they could recast BP. But considering how Chadwick defined that role, made it his own, and touched millions of lives with it, recasting would be a huge challenge. It became iconic to many people, and many of them would be likely to resist another actor playing the part. The emotions involved are magnitudes beyond other Marvel recasts.

So Romney sees himself as Superman while everyone else sees Reed Richards. He actually makes sense to me now.

 

Also Hulk movies are terrible so what are you losing really.

 

Also, it’s possible they felt it was simply too soon.

 

Multiverse blah blah blah in Kang Dynasty and/or Secret Wars will probably have a alt-universe with a new actor T'Challa return is my bet. This movie is a memorial for Chadwick/T'Challa them dealing with his death in the film.

 

Ford Officially confirmed.

 

My guess is they will shoot Ford's parts for CA4 and Thunderbolts together.
