Let's assume majors is a bad person and is let go from marvel.

Who do they recast them with?

 

Terrence Howard for one film and then Don Cheadle playing a geriatric version of himself.

 

Jonathan Majors from the universe where he's still an actor but didn't assault anyone.

 

Lee Majors.

 

I just realized there's almost as many Marvel flicks now as there were Universal Monster movies ('30s-'50s). On one hand, I'm objective enough to acknowledge that, nostalgic charm aside, most of those horror offerings were graceless cash-grabs; on the other hand, it's depressing to reflect that Marvel has yet to produce anything on the level of James Whale's masterpieces.

 

I fully endorse Infinity War as a MCU masterpiece. That ending stomped its way into pop culture iconography the weekend it came out

the first 10 seconds made it clear its a puff piece.

He also started out being an awful comic and toy exec.

 

He bought Toy Biz in 1990, which in turn became a part of the board of directors at Marvel and negotiated a deal that waved the licensing fees for toys and merchandise. In 1998, he lead the bid to buy Marvel during the bankruptcy and helped save it. Unfortunately, he was problematic in other areas. He didn't think female superhero films could be successful, which is it took so long for Captain Marvel and Black Widow to get made. He didn't want to pay Downey to be in "Civil War" and tried to have him written out, which lead to Fiege going to Iger, who gave him the control over the film division that he needed. He was also very tight with money. One frivolous example being one of the early press junkets didn't have proper refreshments, opting for a very inexpensive set up. He also brought forward a court case that distinguished action figures as toys, not dolls. Purely to halve the tariff rates for international sales.

 

“He helped save Marvel from bankruptcy” has always been an interesting spin considering he was likely involved in most of the process to tactically declare Chapter 11 in the first place, given its heavy reliance on leveraging Toy Biz stock.
