There have been several amazing movies.
Only one shocked me for how good it was: Mad Max: Fury Road. Sometimes I still find myself thinking about it.

 

The scene at the end of Toy Story 3 , where it seems they're about to die is surprisingly effective. I still find myself getting worried each time.

The scene that just sticks with me more than any other is the scene in Marriage Story when Nicole first meets with Nora.

Laura Dern is beyond phenomenal in this particular scene. She's sly, cunning, and evil and instantly becomes a villain to the people watching the movie do either a) get sucked into Charlie being the protagonist and/or b) who simply sympathize with Charlie, having gone through a divorce and seen the other side not hold to the "we don't need lawyers / let's remain friendly" side of the arrangement. Of course, she instantly becomes a heroine to a great number of people watching, so sympathise with the need to do so. And she walks the line so well. And, of course, later on we learn that Nicole needs that villain type to get her to be her and prioritize her.

But I will never forget the emotions that swelled up when I watched that scene.

Honestly, every scene in Blade Runner 2049 where you get to see wide shots of LA. I'm a huge cyberpunk fan and seeing futuristic cyberpunk cities done so well gets me real good. This was probably my favorite movie of the last decade.
