Should be pretty self explanatory:
Even though the actual movie won the Oscar for Best Editing, this should have won instead.
This is the one
This is the Spacey one.
Yes. It's a great freaking trailer.
Also the movie was better than Man of Steel.
A time of hope and a vague sense that it could maybe possibly not be terrible
Plus the piano score/slowed down score (mainly for the slowed down score) (there was less piano when I listened to it again)
The greatest trailer of all time. It's actually more evocative and terrifying than most horror films in their entirety:
I'm a bigger fan of teasers than I am official trailers. Quite often trailers give away too much, or in comedies spoil the best jokes. However when teasers are done right I am a big fan. In both of these cases the films themselves were spoiled by their official trailers, but the teasers were very effective.
Stranger Things Season 1 Final Trailer was a recent favorite of mine.
And this teaser is silly lol - I remember laughing my ass off when it first saw it not knowing this was a thing
This is not a 'real' trailer, but it works unbelievably well for me:
This was test footage but got used as a teaser at a comic con.
Always a fan of this one.
Video games gotta love BOTW.
I think the Social Network's trailer is widely acknowledged by people who care about trailers as being the greatest ever made, or certainly one of the top three. It's a tour de force of visuals and sound.
That Icelandic Choir's cover of Creep is perfect.
The Crown's Season 4 trailer is among the best I've seen to date:
Once again, masterful use of sound and visuals. The momentary near-silence overlaid with Diana's roller skating may be my single favorite trailer scene.
There’d never been this much hype surrounding a film, and the trailer just added to that. Without showing anything past the first hour (besides a couple of quick shots), it still managed to completely sell the film. I loved going in not knowing what to expect at all. The characters, the visuals, the music, and just the overall stakes were overwhelming. Heck, I even get a bit emotional watching this now.
This trailer also did all of that equally well.
I still hope some day we'll get a star wars show that's animated like this.
Greatest trilogy ever
A lot of anglers have their own preferences but my personal favorite trailer has always been the Uncle Josh #11 pork frog. Unfortunately discontinued about 5 years ago because nowadays pigs are getting murdered too young for their skin to hold a hook effectively. Plastic substitutes are ok but just don’t provide the same action.
