A Filoni animated series set between TLJ and TROS, Star Wars: The New Rebellion, to hopefully improve the ST (and its place in the saga) and have fans clamouring for the big-screen return of Rey, Finn, etc.

In the series we could see adventures with our ST heroes, picking up immediately after Poe and Rey’s first meeting, and where the Resistance flees to.

-We can see Kylo struggling with being the new Supreme Leader after failing spectacularly in front of the FO and ultimately the galaxy, with stories of Luke’s actions spreading across the galaxy like wildfire, causing the people all over to rise up in rebellion against the FO (thus the name of the show). We could see Kylo, in his insecurity, becoming increasingly erratic, laying waste to entire planets like Coruscant. And we could get flashbacks to his upbringing, showing that this insecurity is core to his downfall.

(And just when Kylo has won back the confidence and loyalty of the FO, they pick up the Emperor’s transmission, and instantly Kylo senses their loyalty shifting away, culminating with the appointment of General Pryde, and Kylo, after seeing the Emperor in the flesh and feeling more exposed than ever, decides to don his mask once again.)

-More from the Emperor’s resurrection, flashbacks to the moments after RoTJ, the birth of Snoke, etc. Maybe even the story of Palps’ son.

-More from the Knights of Ren. Each one could be fleshed out.

-We could see the story of Janna and her squad laying down their arms and fleeing to Endor.

-Phasma could have survived (scarred head to toe from the fire) or someone could don her armor, like a vengeful sister or wife.

-We could see Finn encountering stormtroopers he was friends/rivals with, and explore any doubt in Finn with regards to his allegiance.

-Lando seeking help for the final battle, where it’s made clear that the people were inspired by the actions of the Luke (Crait) and Leia (surviving in space) whose amazing stories have spread over the past year.

-More on the dyad, explaining that it’s perhaps a reincarnation of the Chosen One’s power or essence or something, brought back in order to balance Palpatine cheating death.

-End it with Rey constructing her new yellow double-bladed lightsaber, taking on Finn as her first student and arriving on Tatooine to bury the sabers of the awe-inspiring Skywalkers, the spiritual father and mother of the New Rebellion, and of Rey herself.

 

So, I explained what an isekai is....so what do you think?

 

So a person from earth gets transported to the GFFA? I think it could work in theory, but I think you would have to establish it as non canon. Just because I don’t think Earth should be in Star Wars even if it takes place in the same Universe

 

Oh, of course, but it'd still be awesome. There's something like that in an unfinished Legends book, to tie together of of GL's movies, involving people from Earth going into a wormhole to escape the planet being transported to the GFFA way before anything ever happened.

 

And as I said I hope Lucasfilm experiments some more
