Oh my god, my last serious list was posted five years ago? And that was the update? Time? What is time?

Anyway no duplicate directors or this would be a mass bombardment of Fritz Lang. Fritz Lang, so hot right now.
    1. Metropolis
    2. Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens
    3. The Godfather
    4. Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari
    5. Spalovač mrtvol
    6. Ran
    7. The Irishman
    8. Hamlet (1996)
    9. Malcolm X
    10. Eraserhead
There's a very good reason it changed so much... right behind that curtain. No, the other curtain. Keep going.

Two year update of the "six star" list. Not a whole lot of change. I also haven't been watching much in the way of movies in 2020 because I've been distracted with other things.

    2. Star Wars Original Trilogy- 10
    3. The Lord of the Rings- 10

    35. Pulp Fiction- 10
    36. Barton Fink- 10
    37. The Shawshank Redemption- 10
    38. Departures- 10
    39. Blade Runner- 9.5
    40. GoodFellas- 9.5
    41. The Maltese Falcon- 9.5
    42. Jaws- 9.5
    43. 12 Years a Slave- 9.5
    44. Bambi- 9.5
    45. City of Life and Death- 9.5
    46. Network- 9.5
    47. Grave of the Fireflies- 9.5
    48. WALL-E- 9.5
    49. Nineteen Eighty-Four- 9.5
    50. BlackKklansman- 9.5
    51. Moon- 9.5
    52. Guardians of the Galaxy- 9.5
    53. Gandhi- 9.5
    54. Shall We Dance? (1996)- 9.5
    55. Coco- 9.5
    56. The Truman Show- 9.5
    57. Life of Pi- 9.5
    58. 1917- 9.5

Five additions: The Seventh Seal, The Big Lebowski, BlackKklansman, Moon, and 1917. Also, Dr. Strangelove and Pan's Labyrinth each moved up a spot, and No Country fell five spots.

Of the old things on the list the only things I've rewatched since then are LotR (in a theater marathon environment), Pan's Labyrinth, and Barton Fink.
Of these films, I have since seen North by Northwest (in a theater with The Wrong Man), All the President's Men, and The Seventh Seal, which as you can see I loved.

North by Northwest- 7.5- #11 in 21 movies seen from the 50s
All the President's Men- 8.0- #190 out of 258 on the master list (all movies ranked 8.0 or higher, of which 8.0 scores seem to make up exactly the bottom hundred at this moment. Hm.)
Also, The Wrong Man got a score of 8.0, barely making it onto said list at #252, or #9 on the 50s list.

The most recent addition to the master list is the original Gojira, with a score of 8.0 at place #197, about five weeks ago. I've been making a point of watching a bunch of Godzilla movies for a creative project, before of which I had seen exactly zero. Now I've seen four and counting, mostly from the Showa era.

My average film rating, out of all films I have seen, is around 6.7/10

The Before Trilogy is still taking up space on my harddrive without me having gotten to it...

You know one day, I really do need to rewatch the live-action Transformers movie again, because I went there with an impacted and infected wisdom tooth that day, so that doesn't exactly give me a clear evaluation of the film in that circumstance.
