    Hey guys

I posted this as an example in the FAN FILMS forum

But I realised I had never posted it in here for comments

Would love to get some feedback.

It took me 4 hours to do - and was my first attempt at animation / camera work.
Its made using CINEMA 4D on my imac G5

Not bad....I would recommend pushing in closer as the camera turns to follow the ship. Perhaps even after the turn follow the ship towards the planet rather than push away from the scene. What that does is give you an effect of the being pulled more into the scene as if the ship's wake in space is dragging you along with it.

    Just my two cents.

    1) It has no motion blur.

    2) It doesn't look like it has any shadows. If it does, then your lighting is much too flat.

    3) Never animate the camera by hand.. it never works. Attach a Null/Dummy/Whatever object to the ship, and have the camera track it. If you want to change the POV, just move that Null in relation to the ship. Your animation will be ten times smoother than trying to do it by hand. And a lot less work, to boot.
