Question! I am in the process of making a few banners for this site, and I was wondering what sites are good for getting Star Wars pictures to use?

Even fanart. People would like to have their art displayed all over the forums right?

I am especially looking for Twins pics(points at Sig.) to do a Skywalker and Solo twins banner. As well as any funny "Rebel is my day job" type pics.

Eowyn - Thanks for taking a look at the artwork. I suggest you have a good look through these forums as there are 100's of great works to be found. Also try the requests thread. Good luck with your search.

Snuggles - Ta for the comps. I only did colours on the Race, line work is by Kaiten so all credit goes to him.

I got inspired by Deanna's artwork and website so I did a little doodle last night lol. Please be kind people.

Now he knows what happened to all those maintenance droids!

It's something I have had planned since I wrote the Race story. Finally got pencil to paper I just wish I'd worked a little more neatly though.
It was fun to do and that's what count's.

LOL--your "doodle" is quite wonderful, Daankin! You really have to do more of your own original work, you're very talented, and not just as a colorist! The look on this fellow's face tells the story: "WT HEY?!?!" LOL! Priceless! Great depth and a real feeling of that sort of dank oiliness that pervades all those deep, dark, industrial places. Very nice--and the other work above is great too--but I had to come in a crow about your own art! Bravo!

You have a really awesome style, and the way you combine graphics with animation is pretty sweet.
Transmissions is cool, your eye is drawn to all the lightsabers and then you just kinda follow them, I love that effect.
Keep up the good work Daankin.

Wow, lots of cool stuff there! Love your style, I wish I could draw like that.
Some of the mean characters look even scarier and uglier than in the movies! (f.e. Vader in "lack of faith" or Jabba)
But I adore the fem imperial officer in Endor patrol. She's so beautiful!

I haven't the time to check everything, but I looked around and read Dengar's Tale, I loved it You sure have experience in comic booking... I try to work in that direction, too. Looking at your production was definitly an inspiration. Thank you

He has posted some art in the Force.net fan art sections in the past.

Nice job an your doodles, and it's great you're continuing with the Intercepted Transmissions!

 

Very nice "Race" pieces, Daankin! Especially the one including some of the contestants: it has a real feeling of speed to it, which I think is what the intent was! Very cool! And the one for the fan fiction has me intrigued now: this crew and craft are obviously following an X-wing--or are they targeting the craft...? Loving the displays in front of the two working crewmembers--the colors and luminosity are just what we could expect. You've set a great scene--are you sure you won't be posting the story...? Like I said--the scene's got me intrigued now! Great stuff as always (and I need to get in and see what DarthMikus has been up to!

Very nice Daankin! I like this one a lot--good composition, with the fighter in the foreground and all the action farther in--it really leads the eye into the frame, to see all of it. I would imagine a space battle-field to be just like this, actually, with as much danger from all the floating and flying debris as from blaster bolts from the enemy... Great piece!
