Animated Shorts Zen - Grogu and Dust Bunnies - Studio Ghibli Short on Disney+

We travel into a world of micro-particles where a war between dust and Grogu’s immune system tips the balance in The Force.

The real question is.. are dust bunnies light side or dark side?

 

I'm very surprised Favroni would relinquish their beloved.

Ha, so THIS is the project from Studio Ghibli.
Now that makes sense. We should have connected the dots.
Time to change the label/tag to Animated Shorts
And to include the word Zen in the beginning hah.

 

Animated Grogu.. the little green fella is taking over!

Soon of all mediums will be thus his and all will love him and call him most fair.

 

Huh. Interesting we hear nothing about this until days before the release. Sounds like it should be fun.

 

Maybe it's because it's only 2 minutes and 30 seconds long.... LOL
Ok this was one of the most underwhelming things ever.

 

Very cute and soothing. Loved the hand-drawn animation. I'd love it if this was the gateway to a larger collaboration between Lucasfilm and Studio Ghibli, Star Wars is a pretty great fit for the latter's style.

I hate when people are like "oh, you're just disappointed because you set your expectations too high" because that's a very weak argument, but... I think you were maybe setting your expectations a bit too high if you thought a hand-drawn short called Grogu and Dust Bunnies that Disney didn't start advertising until less than 12 hours before release was going to be a particularly substantial work.

 

Cute, perhaps a prelude to see if there is interest in a Zen Grogu mini-series?

 

Well, that was certainly an animated short.

 

That was very well made, great animation and especially the music. Grogu cried in close up, very sad.

So in canon I'm assuming this takes place sometime between RotS and Mando Episode 1. Not every moment Grogu had was dark!

Anyway it was the first thing I saw on the D+ banner when I logged in so they definitely didn't bury it

 

Studio Ghibli can do no wrong.

 

I think this is just is cute and fun. Maybe just some small work they put together and in future will make something big. I hear it takes the studio many years to make a final big product.

 

Those are the same dust bunnies from Spirited Away, one of the best animated films ever made.

A very cute short by Ghibli. There wasn't much substance to it, but I was just excited enough to see the Studio Ghibli logo

One thing I'd add is calling them "dust bunnies"; but in Spirited Away they're referred to as the Soot Sprites.

Of course my Facebook Group, the Hayao Miyazaki Fan Club, is flooded with different articles about it in multiple languages lol.
