FF:WA Zone 3

If anyone's interested, we are thinking about having a dawn-to-dusk Zone 3 as one of our meets. If anyone is interested, please email me.

In order to play Midnight to Dawn we need at least 10 people, this should not be hard
The cost is $28 per person
A $55 deposit is required when booking
We can take our own music if we want to and we can take our own food and drink

 

My first job as Events Co-ordinator, and I had to get LD to do the ringing for me. Thanks so much LD, as I had a very busy and hectic day today. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong.

I'll be in on Zone 3.

 

Is this anything like Laserforce? I was involved in an exclusive booking for a night with three sci-fi fan culbs in Brisbane, and it went off. Best night out I've had recently. So, all I can say is I wish you the best for your night (or morning).

 

It's basically the same as Laser Force, except that Zone 3 allows for 3 teams (most have 2), hence the name.
With 2 DJs in attandance, music won't be a problem.
Let's pick a date. I'd say that a Friday night would be best for me.
I don't think we'll have a problem getting the minimum # of people. I think the maximum for a game is 24 (8 per team).

 

So this a shoot and kill type thing? Laser guns etc??
Hell for that even I may show up.

Well, I would be there, but I'm afraid that $28 dollars for me would leave me walking around the street with a barrel on and a tin cup in one hand shouting out to passing stray dogs while listening to secret communiques from God. Whoops, what I mean to say is that I'm broke, so unfortunately I cannot come.

But I'll be egging you all on from my Barrel!

 

there's a difference between coming and actually playing... altho just watching ppl run around at 3am could be about as exciting as watching paint dry i spose

now, on a completely different matter.. (well actually not) how much does it cost these days? i havent been to zone 3 for years..

 

$28, which is not cheap!!!

 

It is for up to 6 hours of play. I haven't been to one of these midnight to dawn sessions but apparently the normal thing is to play seriously for a while, and then spend the rest of the time sitting around chatting or running amok. Sounds good to me.

 

so when does the money have to be in by ?

 

we are booked into Zone 3 Murry st for 4th May for our midnight to dawn

And for you Males that can't tell the time, day,year or remember Birthdays, Anniversary etc that would be 0001 hours... as in dark time outside...

I don't know if anyone will be getting together before then. If any of you will be seeing LD before then, then I'd suggest handing the money to hime since he's forked out for a deposit. Otherwise, bring the money on the night.
I do think it's important to get a good idea of numbers, especially for something that we're making a specific booking for. Let's get our secretary busy. If you're going, send an email to Princess Lego at princess@oneil.com.au to let her know. Let her know if any of your friends are coming as well (yes - invite friends just like we did with the TPM screening). PL can post a list of who's coming on here from time to time so we all know who to expect.

Come on guys. We need the numbers. You'll be glad you went. We'll be glad you went. It's not the sort of thing you get to do a lot. Bring some friends if you can manage it.
If we're going to get the club going, we need to give people a reason to get involved. This sort of thing is a great start.
