That's not even the half of it. I've read many a fanfic(as well as Internet definitions) to know what a Mary Sue is. If anything, Anakin meets more of the qualifications for being a Gary Stu.

Yeah, when are they going to address the no clones exist in the OT? They had a chance of destroying the Kamino cloning facilities, but for some reason had forgotten about it. This would make for good story telling if they were to delve back into that again, especially if the clones were to be the sole victims.

She was shot in the shoulder and not in center mass, back,or head.

Except there are instances across the whole sage where laser bolts don't kill in one hit. Also, Ahsoka didn't take a direct shot; she was shot in the shoulder. That's not what anybody would call a direct hit.

So what? He could've, but he didn't. Does that negate the fact he captured them in the first place?

Look, I don't want to get into a six-page argument over this, but several of those points have some strong merit.

No one with less than a Council member's level of experience is supposed to be a match for Grievous. I could buy the match between Ahsoka and Grievous in Duel of the Droids as her entire purpose was to distract Grievous from the injured clones, and spent the entirety of the "fight" effectively attempting to escape. But with each time they clash and Ahsoka comes out alive, it begins to strain credulity further and further.

The gunship blast on Onderon was also quite ridiculous. All evidence presented depicts the droid gunship lasers with a certain level of power. With a close-range shot like what Ahsoka suffered, at worst she should be dead, and at best, she should be getting fitted for a new cybernetic arm. This is not Ahsoka hate talking, this is objective observation and understanding that the need to keep Ahsoka alive and whole by the writers, trumped empirical evidence and common sense.

I can accept Ahsoka understanding Shyriiwook, as Jedi often know a multitude of other languages. I can accept her not getting completely crushed by Ventress, as she's supposed to be something of a saber prodigy. And while the four-way Death Watch kill was a bit eye-roll worthy, it wasn't completely beyond the pale for its situation. But that's no reason to discount at least two legitimate failings.

There are clones in the OT. The troops who board the Tantive in Episode 4 with Vader? They're the 501st, and predominantly Jango clones, as are the snowtroopers Vader leads on Hoth. Clones remained as a significant presence in the Stormtrooper Corps for years, though Jango clones eventually became a minority in favor of clones from other templates, along with natural born recruits and conscripts.

It looked like Ahsoka is trying and failing to deconstrict Letta's throat with the Force. That would give her extended arm some significance. Jedi normally need to extend their hands to practice telekinesis.

Sure, it's panic, but Ahsoka would still try to do what she feels needs to be done. Whatever she does in the heat of the moment is obviously unsuccessful.

Heh, it does indeed. I think there probably were fans when the prequels came out that thought Anakin was a Gary Stu. Frankly, even I wouldn't go that far, but I would say that he's more qualified than Ahsoka.

Anywho, I tire of this discussion that I've had many times before. It seems LACWAC has the strange tendency to repeat topics over and over and over again like a broken record-player. I think I'm going to go watch The Walking Dead now.

    Ciao.

I am honored by the title of "THE Greatest CISFanBoy".... That is awesome to hear as a description. Thanks, SSS!

I am sure Seerow agrees as well on the title! [:D]

That should be under my avatar here. Some have Jedi Grand Master or Prequel Trilogy & •L•A•C•W•A•C• Moderator, this could be mine... just joking! :p :p

And that visual of Quarren screaming its lungs out from nerdgasming - PURE WIN![face_laugh]

If that was the case, then I stand corrected. Ahsoka's facial expressions look more like panic and waving her hands looked like confusion to me.

I'm watching the episode for the second time and I'm wondering why Letta would only talk to Ahsoka

Great episode. The Fugitive homage was well-done. Awesome action. Animation was just wow. Show keeps getting better and better.

As said by others, I don't wish to rehash the "Sue" arguments, but arguably Ahsoka has had a certain quality of that about her - especially in the earlier seasons and thankfully less so lately - now she has a plot-shield like some of the others rather than Sue-shield.

For the record, I have not in the past nor now, said she 100% fit the definition - but save-the-day padawan of the past was disturbingly close at times.

This is what came to my mind. Although I did think it would have been funny for Anakin to tell Rex that she just did a "Peter Pan right here!"

    >Survives multiple duels against General Grievous
Has to run off in the first, nearly dies in the second

    >Survives multiple duels against Asajj Ventress
Soundly defeated the first time; second time, there was a Jedi Master around; and as far as the trailer goes, it looks like she's about to be defeated again

    >Lectures Jedi Masters
Gets lectured herself; and what teenager isn't insolent at one point or another?

    >Knows Shyriiwook
She learned a language at the temple; not that uncommon

    >Teaches younglings despite being 15
The Jedi are stretched thin; Masters teach Padawans, her teaching Younglings doesn't stretch credibility IMO

    >Is the pet character of the show's director
    Opinion

    >Gets shot at close range by a gunship. Is fine.
    And this is her fault?

    >Is close to uncovering the truth about Sidious
    Baseless speculation

    >Evades an entire base of clone troopers
The clones aren't trying to kill her

    >Decapitates four Mandos
Oh yeah, those four Mandos just standing there; and then of course she gets help from R2 and his crew, but whatever...
