I definitely noticed the connection to the Luke/Vader scene in ESB, but didn't catch the Tarkin/Leia one.

And wow did I kick up a ****storm with that Mary Sue comment...I only called her such because other people here did >_>

Yeah, careful with the term Mary Sue. It's sorta the n-word of the internet. ;)

I like it! It was very subtle, it wasn't forced like a lot of the OT nods are early on in the show. It wasn't a nod, it was a foreshadowing and it did a pretty good job at it.

Having watched this episode again, I think this beats Darkness on Umbara for being one of my top five favorite episodes of TCW. It's rare for the 2nd episode on an arc to do that.. usually it's a standalone, the first episode of an arc or the last one that gets to be my favorite. I really hope this arc doesn't get a case of the "third up blues", and drop the ball with this storyline.

This is only the beginning of Ahsoka's future potential. She will escape Order 66, join Galen Marek, and be instrumental in the formation of the Rebellion against The Empire, it is inevitable unless Feloni and Lucas decide to screw Ahsoka's character and her many fans like myself.

She should simply leave The Order then one day face Anakin as Darth Vader. A Forced Unleashed 3 Game would be an excellent time for this to happen, Galen and Ahsoka both face off against Vader. I would love to play as an older Ahsoka with Galen Marek type powers woooooooooot. TAKE MY MONEY NOW!!!!!!

Viewed the episode again, decided to make a few notes:

    - Yoda: 'A moment of silence I ask, to remember.' A second passes, then Ahsoka speaks. Great.

    - What's the in-universe explanation for Oppo's absence this time?

    - Barriss needed another trainer to teach her how to hold a lightsaber. What, Luminara couldn't teach her that?

    - Funeral scene was lovely. Great to see all the Jedi together.

    - Jedi Temple halls are filled with Jedi now, big improvement from Seasons One and Two.

    - Eeth, Kit and Saesee walking together. Slight homage to Mace's posse from ROTS? (Before anyone corrects me, I know it was Agen instead of Eeth in the film).

    - Don't know why, but I always had a soft spot for Barriss. Isn't she a bit short though, for her age? Happy that they've given her her longer robe again.

    - So, Obi-Wan is here. I would think that after what happened on Mandalore, he wouldn't be casually talking about Separatist attacks, and that his main priority would be going back considering the Jedi think that Maul is still leader there, but oh well.

    - Why's Ahsoka the only Padawan in that meeting? Or, better question, why is a Padawan even there?

    - New prison looks visually fantastic, great nod to the future Empire.

    - Nice to know that Loathsom, Tambor and Poggle haven't been up to much since we last saw them.

    - 'Give us a minute please' I guess they got bored very quickly and returned to their station.

    - More mirrors to the films. Worked well in these cases.

    - 'Only Imperial stormtroopers are so precise' I see where they got their precision from.

    - Apart from a mention in the Umbara arce, it's nice to see Odd Ball for the first time since the movie.

    - Compared to the rest of the lightsabers we've seen on this show, the design for Ahsoka's is truly terrible. Bye bye shoto.

    - Nice re-use of the sound of the police/guard droids from Revival.

    - Really liked Ahsoka's facial expressions in that last scene.

All in all, a very good epsiode, looking forward to the rest of the arc.

Surely who ever went to all the trouble to frame Ahsoka, also sabotaged the cameras.

Just watched this episode....I've been busy this weekend....I don't even....I'm not sure...okay here goes.

"Courage begins by trusting oneself". Very nice.

Anakin "Revenge is not the Jedi way". Ahsoka "My master would say our struggle as Jedi is to move past them (emotions)". NO HE WOULDN'T. These blatant characterization screw ups are so frustrating, they're just obviously so wrong, and they do it so often it's like they're pretending he's a completely different person just for Ahsoka's sake. It's even more frustrating considering how well Anakin was handled in the latter half of the episode.

Right off the bat, Ahsoka's "conflict" just feels so phony, so forced. Immediately she's like rage pissed over this.

The funeral and the prison scenes were very well done with the appropriate gravity and foreboding. Yoda stressing that we are luminous beings in temporary vessels was spot on.

Guys, the Mary Sue argument will go nowhere, we all have our own definitions and it just comes down to very subjective opinions. So let's not nuke LACWAC over it.

That said, part of this episode made me feel like she's not a Mary Sue, while part of it did. It's like someone goes through the effort of making her a real character, and then someone else just goes NEEDS MORE AWESOME and completely ***** it up.

How about all the completely unnecessary acrobatics? Like cartwheeling through the blast doors? Pretty sure it'd be faster to just run and hurdle. There were times when she was just doing backflips and somersaults even for just relatively small jumps, with no obstacles, blaster fire or any other reason for acrobatics. I'm surprised they didn't have her run on her hands. I'm surprised they had her run at all, she should have been whirling during the entire escape sequence. Gratuitous.

Sooooo......I guess they just couldn't avoid putting Ahsoka on top of that statue like she's Batman or Selene from Underworld. So gratuitous.

The stun effects are cool, I like seeing them, but damn Ahsoka is just untouchable.

I called the Fugitive scene the moment she dropped into the pipes. This....ugh, I just don't know. In some ways I enjoy these homages, but they're just too exact.

I liked that Anakin could follow Ahsoka through the pipes.

Fanboy pointed out a lot of obvious flaws, like the convenient cameras that see Ahsoka and not the person who is framing her, and he pointed out the more subtle Anakin/Vader references like "I want her alive". They were able to make Anakin feel like Vader without it being forced, without it being just terrible. So, props.

There's so much to like about this episode, and so much to dislike. It will definitely get a decent grade, but not a 10.

Oh, and if they turn Barriss into a villain and Ahsoka comes out of this the hero, I will lose my ******* mind. So just be prepared.

EDIT: I'm operating under the assumption that Barriss has been retconned to an age younger than was previously established. I used to say the same things about her being close to Knighthood and all that, but I just don't think that is the case anymore. Our continuity is dead.

No, that would be Deus Ex Machina. The internet seems to apply that term to any ending they don't like.

Just my personal opinion I sincerely believe that Ahsoka needs to be offed at this point. It's not that I dislike Ahsoka but with this being so late into the Clone Wars and Anni drifting ever so close to the Dark Side, she's going to have to go. I mean killing off Embo,Rex or Ventress won't have any sort of effect on Anakin other than Rex dying would be emotionally sad for them,Embo is just a bounty hunter, and taking Ventress out would just leave them with one less problem to deal with. Ahsoka going out would have serious effect since he has such an emotional attachment to her evident in several episodes where he goes ballistic that she's captured or lost, and like many people said would prove to the idea that in RoTS there's no mention of his padawan if he had and his fear of losing someone he cares for.

RG4 Ahsoka ain't going anywhere until the final season. Let's just hope for repercussions and not have her prove her innocence then everything goes back to normal, hmm?

Has anyone watched the 2nd Season 5 trailer recently? Saw scenes from the last two episodes and what I would assume are the last two episodes. Not sure if we are allowed to post trailers or not or where. To anyone that has seen the season could you tell if anything new was in it?

They can do what Genndy did and begin to close out series as the Battle of Coruscant begins.
Oh God the idea of seeing a full fledged space battle in TCW and not just a couple seconds of ships firing makes me excited.

Looking at the title of the last one "The Wrong Jedi" I think Ashoka will be found innocent .. and the whole thing will have been a distraction for something else going on.

Unless Ahsoka is in the Jedi Temple when Operation: Knightfall goes down. It's a possibility.

Oh, and yes. I love the small snippets of space battles we get on this show, I demand an entire episode dedicated to one!

At this point I can't think of any way the writers could possibly do that without making the story completely ridiculous and writing Barriss completely out of character, so...yeah.

At this point we can only assume that's Palpy,Mau,Ventress or Barriss. But if it were M.Night Shamallamadingo was the writer for this arc it would be Ashoka.

I think I'm too tired to get that joke.

I'm assuming that Palpatine orchestrated this somehow, whether he manipulated the whole deal and did the remote Force-choking himself or got someone else to do it.
