Please re ask in the season 5 spoiler thread.

New episode threads are made when the OS puts the info for the new episode. Usually every Wednesday. Speculation is really fine but you can't talk about the trailer and spoilers from future eps can't be. See the rules on the OP. If your unsure use the General Thread or season 5 threads.

    It's obviously Barriss.

Man, I think they've seriously neutered the Jedi to fit the stories they've written for this show. So suddenly the Jedi especially Yoda can't sense that Ahsoka is being framed, not even the benefit of the doubt? They've turned the Jedi into boobs who just believe what they're told. Maybe it is just me, but I was under the impression that the Jedi can tell when they're being played, with the exception of uber-powerful sith lords.

Seriously, though, what has happened to the traditional Jedi Powers? Jedi mind tricks and extra sensory perception and that type of stuff.

There are no rules to how Jedi senses work. Sometimes they work when there's danger and sometimes they don't. It has always been like that.

I just have one question. How in the world did this crap get in this thread? Why was it even allowed? Knowing full well that there are people against EU those against the Prequels those against the clone wars etc, etc, and ect. I thought that this was season 5 episode 19 dicussion thread.

Anyway, all I have to say is wow. What an episode. In certain ways, I can see its Bariss. Why? Well, I go back to my high school years. The valivictorian that graduate with us was such a nerd. She never did anything, she was always prim and proper, always looking for what was right. Then she went on to college, and guess what. She did not graduate college, lost her scholarship became a party whore and got knocked up by a two bit loser. Too prim and proper and with no good life expeirences, when she got to college she just transformed.

Who knows if this is truly the case with Bariss, but certain seeds can be seen from the Genosis episode. Bariss was seen as proper, disciplined, minus the flaws that a character like Asohka and Anakin have. Thats what makes them interesting, there colorful in all aspects. Bariss is dry like her master Luminara. Maybe Bariss along the war, discovered that things weren't right and changed her mind. In reality, it happens everyday in many professions. I know police officers that left the force and the carear becasue it wasn't what they thought it would be. They discovered, racism, cronyism, favortism and the like that rivals and at times exceeds those of the private sector, so they left.

One thing though I will point out, if this is confirmed to be Barriss, then you can kiss the Medstar books goodbye.

Ahsoka outsmarted by a child, whom she separated from his parents, and then left the turbolift with a giant gaping hole in the side of it because she couldn't be bothered to use the door.

They would more likely push the MedStar novels back a bit and state that Barriss was already Knighted by the time of this arc. If she turns out to be guilty. Then only her Revenge of the Sith death during Order 66 would be affected.

I thought when Barriss was introduced into the series she was retconned to be a little older than Ahsoka? I'm sure she's supposed to be like 16 in Weapons Factory.

Supposedly she was supposed to be the same age as Anakin

No actual retcon was introduced to Barriss' age. The show's design team just modeled her to appear a bit younger than she did in the movies to give Ahsoka a more visually proportional equal. So while Barriss is still approximately a year younger than Anakin canonically, she's just been depicted with a slighter frame and smaller stature in the series than other sources.

Still hard to explain her dramatic character change and all the schemes/power she showed if she is the villain.

I could see Barriss as the one who wore the mask and led the effort in re-capturing Ahsoka as a means of helping her friend (in the same sense that Anakin wanting Tano apprehended is for her own good). I only watched the scene once, but I don't recall Ahsoka's attacker making any attempts at actually killing Tano (I could be wrong, though - I'll watch it again when it re-airs tomorrow). In any event, as to the identity of Ventress'/Ahsoka's attacker, I certainly thought "Barriss" the moment the mysterious one appeared and I didn't see anything which happened afterwards to change that.

As far as who is the one behind the Temple bombing plot and the death of the clones? I don't know - Maul, at Sidious' behest? As Admiral Tarkin assurred us, the Chancellor "rarely does anything without a strategy." To what end? Anakin, of course. Just a name I'm throwing out there without anything much beyond a hunch to back it up, but it certainly wouldn't shock me, were it to play out that way.

If it does turn out to be Offee, I only hope her motivations are well written. Also, l was just wondering, but has the question been raised about Barriss appearing in ROTS (I haven't read the entire thread)? I can't recall if she is seen along with her Master on Kashyyyk, or not? I know that she appears in the comics, but I mean in the actual film.

Barriss was intended to appear in the RotS film during a scene on Felucia, which was subsequently reflected in the comic adaptation. But if I recall, the scene never made it past the animatic stage, cut for time, with the primary focus of Felucia shifted entirely to Aayla in the film.

Actually the attacker could choose to not kill Ahsoka but knock her out to the right place, that is harder to do than kill her, I really don't see Barriss could make it.

    MOTHER******S

TCW, you have one chance left. One chance. You take that mask off and it's Barriss, and I'm walking. I walked away from you once with that horrendous Aurra Sing / Ahsoka the Prophet episode, and I'll do it again.

This makes no goddamn sense from any point. Ahsoka decides that the only way to discover what is going on is to jump down into the underworld, despite having no reason to go that way. Barriss tells her where to go, then ganks Ventress to continue setting up Ahsoka.

WHY?! who thought it was a good idea to do this? This is bull**** of the highest level, it's completely ******* character assassinating. Filoni, Eckstein, all of you incompetent ****s, what is your reasoning here? Must you continue to kill off characters that you've forgotten about in your show for the sake of shock value? It's bull****, complete bull****, and you've lost just about the last shred of respect I gave you.

I couldn't recall off-hand whether, once said scene on Felucia was cut, Barriss was instead seen in any of the sweeping shots of Kashyyyk, or not. Thank you, Mia, you've been very helpful.

Exscuse me everybody i have one good question to put to you all- If it is Barriss who is behind all of this and looking at this episode its looking more and more obvious do you think Luminara will take her down in the same way that Anakin was taken down by Obi Wan in ROTS ?
