So after making some "special modifications " to the artwork so it can be sewn (which meant changing the blends in the middle "boxes" to solid colors and removing the web site since it was detached from the rest of the artwork), we have a quote for patches from Moritz. Here is the art: They would be 5" wide and 3" high. They would be the shape of the logo and not the rectangle as posted above. The backing would be PVC plastic "for sew on purposes." The price for the patches would be as follows: 50 patches would be $4.44 each; a total of $222.00 100 patches would be $2.55 each; a total of $255.00. Shipping is not included. SITH__CHICK was going to check a local vendor to see what the price would be when buying locally, so I can send you the same artwork, if you want, Kim. What do we think?
Cool. One of these days I need to get something I can actually sew patches onto, instead of just putting them in a drawer. If we can come anywhere near meeting the 100 order, I'd be tempted to go with that one for the price/item benefit. Seems silly to get 50 when only $32 more can double the number. But it only makes sense if there is sufficient demand.
I'm in for about $25 worth, maybe more. I would rather get 10 @2.55 each. If so, that would be 10% of the minimum right there.
I don't know if I mentioned it, but he was amenable to another run of those patches. I can email you the details (if I haven't already --brain is fuzzy on if I did or not.)
You did, I just am not in a position to manage the run right now. Let's see how the 1st XWP patch run goes and then we'll talk about those.
I'd get one. And I assume that the RMFF treasury would buy some to giveaway to VIPs/celebrities/special events, which I'd guess would be maybe 20? Also, once we open this up to the RL and 501st, I'd assume we'd get some orders from them, too.
You betcha. I'd say that the price isn't final, if you post prices at all. We'll get final pricing once we determine quantity, shipping and the RMFF markup.
Cross posted on the MG and MB forums. Also please keep in mind to reserve one for Steve Sansweet. The 501st and RL send him one from all patch runs to go to his uber-collection. Typically, they just add a penny or two to each patch to cover the cost of Steve's patch.
