If he is in Star Wars... Holy ****!

 

LOL...like thats ever gunna happen. The script would legit have to be the most amazing thing ever written by a human being for him to even CONSIDER it. Plus....he's one of those actors who likes to "Get into character" 24/7. I can't imagine what he'd do if he was cast as a sith. My mind instantly thinks "Actually enslaving the galaxy", building a real lightsaber and demanding he actually get to the kill the OT3 "to stay in character". Its sounds amazingly terrifying

 

Oh come on. You'd have to have a pretty selective memory if you or anyone else only remembers Saoirse from the Host. How about "killed by the Oscar-nominated, skinhead stabbing, teenage assassin from Hanna"?

He's also a method actor, a scifi character would be challenging for him to live as. He went to coffee shops as Lincoln, I don't think Lucasfilm would want him walking around as whatever character he's playing.

 

Daniel Day Lewis could be quoting the phone book, and make it sound interesting. He's one actor who can elevate any script to a piece of art, so imagine what he could do with a script from an oscar-caliber writer... The mind boggles, and I for one wouldn't be adverse to surrounding the young blood in EVII with tried and true thespians. The formula worked wonders for Heny Cavill in Man of Steel, all controversies aside, and carrying it over to SW would be awesome.

You should know better then to say never. In hollywood any thing can happen. Just ask Ben Affleck or the late Heath Ledger. lol

We have a higher chance of Morgan Freeman and Christian Bale being in Sw7 then we have Mr. 3 time Oscar (who apparantly even demanded they rewrite the Lincoln script before he'd even consider it) for Sw7. While he would be AMAZING........its just soo unlikely. But hey....even if there was a chance (like the 2%) that would legit be one of the most shocking things to ever happen in Hollywood. Daniel Day Lewis (who many consider to be the best actor ever) in a Star Wars movie (most likely) as the villain. OMG....the reaction would be INSANE!

 

And remember how Spielberg was a big help in getting Abrams on board. Wouldn't be so different with DDL.

 

DDL could use a good popcorn movie to add to his resume. I actually haven't seen him in much. Loved LOTM. Gangs of NY and Lincoln are on my list.

Yeah, he's a notorious method actor and the method for SW is pretty impossible. However, I think he'd basically break the character down into its archetype and translate it into the everyday world we're in now., But yeah, don't think LFL would approve him walking around as ---- (blank.)

Lastly, KK has a link to him with Lincoln and she's strong in the Force . . . .

He IS a huge Star Wars fan. It was probably just a lunch with the head of Lucasfilm. Nothing to do with casting in the movies.

Then again, he could be meeting them to play the grown up Mutt in Indiana Jones 5.

 

Yeah no way would he do SW7 unless he knew he would win an oscar. Plus....this aint the first time I've heard a "DDL in *insert nerd film* rumor". He apparantly was rumored to play Jor-el once in MOS and look how that turned out. Anywho....this is definitly the "Too amazing to be true" rumor that I had been waiting for

 

I think any actor of any calibre would consider quite seriously a role in a Star Wars movie...

 

You know, some of you make DDL out to be an Oscar whore. If that's all he's in it for then really why bother because I'm quite sure he hasn't won every Oscar ever. He is human after all and perhaps SW would be an interesting challenge for him. He doesn't even have to be a fan to think that the story could be intriguing.

I'm NOT getting my hopes up, BUT imagine having Benedict Cumberbatch, Daniel Day-Lewis and Harrison Ford in the same cast for a STAR WARS movies?! If you'd have even suggested it about a year ago people would have thought you were absolutely bonkers.!!!

 

To be fair, and considering how obsessive-compulsive DDL can be, he'd probably studied the subject to death to the point of knowing more about Lincoln than anyone on the cast or crew. In a film like SW, this would probably be a non-issue, so I don't think there'd be much trouble with that.

The world would totally collapse in on itself if Benedict Cumberbatch, DDL, and HF were in a movie together. I dont think the world can handle that.

 

BTW- Find it impossible to believe that in Hollywood -- TMZ-land, ET, Tabloids, The Hollywood Reporter and on and on -- and Latino Review is the one who has this scoop.

 

Another thing who's to say the script not very good. None of us have seen it. Yes DDL does Oscar wining movies,but thier no rule that says Star Wars can't get an oscar. Shoot one of the Lord of The Ring movie won best picture years ago. Any thing can happen in hollywood.

P.S. In my opinion though it's probably not true. Even elmayimbe didn't seem so sure on his own rumor when he said (maybe). lol
