ST CASTING RUMORS

Did anyone else have trouble logging into this forum section a few minutes ago or was it just me. I tried logging into the section and keep getting an error message. Oh,well it working now.

 

No, I thought I'd been banned. All OK now.

Yeah... I started thinking it was my employers IT dept blocking the site and my access.

 

We all immediately knew we were guilty. At least we have consciences.

As it relates to our ability to post on a SW message board.

 

I'm still excited for the announcements -- rumors or NOT. See, the law of probability dictates that, given time, eventually one of these rumors will pan out to be true.

As for Chloe Moretz -- I'm fine with her NOT being cast. I could go either way with her. HOWEVER, to be fair and exact, it wasn't just the twitter crap that got fans excited. There was a member on here posting things that weren't confirmed, IE that she had a lunch with JJ, was walking around with Disney script X, and was training with swords.

As for Sheersa, read the line above. Could go either way with her. However, how desperate is she for another job that she's reading for the Floptastic Four??? The first two of that franchise were atrocious and should never have been made.

That rumored release date of 11.11.15 seems wierd to me. I'm not buying it. Here are my thoughts why:

1- Disney wants to release a SW movie every year starting in 2015. I don't think they want 2 in the same year. IF they released in November/December then it carries over into 2016.
2- For the same reason above I highly doubt E7 gets pushed back into 2016
3- I wand and am hoping for a realease date in the bactch of official confirms so that we can finally get a countdown clock going. At this rate we'll only have to wait about a year before we have the clock.

Honestly, I could see some news drop by Friday night. in fact IIRC JJ was rumored on a Friday (Radiohead reference) and confirmed that Saturday.

Harrison Ford reported as having admitted on Graham Norton that he hasn't made up his mind about Star Wars yet. The actual show was recorded yesterday and airs tomorrow.

 

Same as usual then. Nothing confirmed either way.

 

Does it specify what he hasn't made up his mind about? Maybe he hasn't made up his mind whether he likes ROTJ or not.

 

Ya I think the big three are coming back. They are just playing coy. Because even at first Harrison was making lots of light of it with Kimmel so on so forth. That George all but confirmed it back in February. I just think LFL told them to not talk about it.

 

The choice is simple Harrison:
Yes: reporters will bug you with Star Wars questions till VII is out
No: the whole galaxy will harrass you worse than Lucas ever got for the prequals and bug you with questions why you didn't return and how they think you would have improved the ST... FOREVER.
Either way: damage is done, fans will still bug you for autographs and call you either Han Solo or Indinia Jones.

Let's not be passive aggressive towards Harrison. He's had much better film roles than Han Solo. He should be heralded and admired for his other work too.

He's just deflecting. HE cannot make the announcement.

Possibly ... Given the rumours I'm certain Norton will ask both of them relatively directly. It'll be interesting to see how they respond. Not just verbally either.

 

I'm not gonna lie, I'll be a little upset if Harrison doesn't come back, but it's not the end of the world.

 

Exactly. Besides, he's always been very open about the fact that he's never been that enamored by Star Wars. It's pretty well documented that he wanted to be killed off in Empire Strikes Back because he wanted to distance himself from the role and do other things. It's a role that just doesn't interest him as an actor. And I'd rather see him not return than give a half assed performance in a role he gets nothing out of because he feels he has to or because he needs a pay cheque.

 

In the past decade he's changed is mind a lot about SW. I think with JJ he will give a great performance. And they will be in it, again George all but confirmed it. So I think it's easy to say they will be in it, but I'm sure he will give it his all with JJ.
