Amph Waiting For Superman: Gunnverse DCU/Elseworlds (New Trailer!)

Would it be misguided to hope that this delay stems from the necessity for, I dunno, script-polishing? Because unless Snyder ups his game by about 300%, this will be the first Superman/Batman flick I take a pass on.

 

Goyer's the script guy, and I know Snyder has some input, but with Snyder you know what you're getting. Goyer should be capable of better.

 

Here's an interesting conundrum -- that's the slot that people were expecting Doctor Strange in. So did DC/WB move it to accommodate a schedule move / Affleck-injury... or did they move it to try and tank some of Marvel's Phase 3, since it won't have the post-glow Avengers cash like Ant-Man will?

 

DC would have to be pretty confident to make a move like that. Though chances are high that this movie could tank such a low-interest Marvel movie.

 

If DC's anything, it's confident/overconfident. As to whether they can back that up....

Any Dr. Strange movie is also going to have to rely on more than character popularity - if they've really cast Jon Hamm, then the question might be, "Can he carry a movie?"

Actual journalists, not the anonymous gossipers that pass for primary sources on the Net. Print might get it wrong a lot, but the fact they're an available target to be sued if they get something deliberately or maliciously wrong makes them notionally a lot more reliable than the internet. To say nothing of the fact a journalist will go to prison to protect his sources. I've yet to see an anonymous online blogger take that risk.

 

In the United States, its actually a misnomer that print media can be sued for posting something untrue and malicious. The prosecutor has to prove malicious and purposeful intent behind the misinformation, which is essentially impossible to prove in court in most cases.

really the rumour mill has been like crazy for a MOS2 film. I think it is a JL film. Why are all these rumours coming out if it's a superman versus batman film.

 

Last I checked, another script writer had been brought on to work on the project. The guy who worked on "Argo".

 

Argo was a great movie that terribly misrepresented actual events, so...I dunno. Some good, some worrisome, at least from my perspective.
