Full Series Top Dark Moments!

The Geonosis arc had a few moments - flamethrowers, brain invasions, Barriss pleading with Ahsoka "kill me" and so forth.

 

It was a scene that I thought made him look very stupid.

He threatened to rape her and she promptly demonstrated that she could kill him instantly and effortlessly, just by thinking about killing him, if she so wished. Then he got up and zapped her anyway. It's amazing that such a person managed to reach his age without getting himself killed years ago.

 

The "kill me" thing is reminiscent of the Aliens franchise in which people impregnated with xenomorphs frequently beg for death in a similar manner. That whole ep was stylistically kinda a homage to the Alien movies.

 

That episode was also creepy as hell and is really weird to watch now after the things that happened.

 

In the "Alienverse", you have these eggs... that hatch out these hideous little things that slither off and dive into air vents and sneak around starships to spring out at unsuspecting people and impregnate them with these things they force inside their orifices.

Course the Geonosian queen's eggs do the same thing. Oh, and her being a queen and all, there's another similarity.

The camera angles, the score, the look and feel of the ep. It captured that hairs on end feel of the Aliens movies perfectly. The whole trapped-on-a-starship-while-abominable-things-hunt-you type of horror...

 

Or that one time Bo Katan spanked her?

A KIDS SHOW

 

I remember that. I was like, did bo-katan just do that? I had no idea she swung that way.

But yeah, all of that...on a kids show.

 

This was in the same episode Pre Visla murdered a teenager. He was such a great villain.

 

This has been posted before but bears repeating under the circumstances, and since not everyone who is here now was here then.

And like three of the things in there came from Slaves of the Republic. That episode had a ton of messed up stuff in it.

 

Did CN even review the episodes before they aired? I love that Dave and crew just wanted to push as far as they could in some episodes.

Were those the episodes/episode that had the Togruta slaves and Anakin pretended to be a slave Master?

 

Yup. With the slave committing suicide and Obi-Wan getting the **** tortured out of him and the slaves being dropped into a pit and the guy who wanted to rape Ahsoka.

 

Oh, right. Now I remember. They really did push stuff in the show.

 

The Obi Wan stuff was disturbing.

 

Ventress' kiss of death:

 

Huh. I didn't know Ventress was space, kissin kate barlow.

But that was a dark scene.

 

Probably because that part was censored when it aired.

But it's present on disc and Netflix in it's full glorious form.

 

Hondo saying/implying he's going to make Ahsoka a sex slave is pretty stand-out to me.

Along with Maul beheading like a dozen people...

 

Indeed. I will never really understand the Hondo love. Sure, he is witty and such, but these examples and that moment where he creepily runs his thumb across an unconscious Ahsoka's lips put him on my creep list. Sure, he is a rogue and utterly lacking in morals, but that's Jabba the Hutt levels right there. I suppose it just goes to show how far a sense of humor and witty tongue can take you when it comes to fandom.

On an unrelated one, the moment in Season 6 when we pan past the frozen clone corpses in the med-transport gave me a cold chill, especially as they focus right in on the face of an helm-less medic clone.

 

Yea, also Tarkin had that moment with Tano in the prison cell, he was creepily coming onto her with fingers squeezing her full lips. I would say that counts as a dark moment as well.

 

That whole sequence of movement was pretty much exactly what he did to Leia in ANH, FWIW. Obviously put in to show that he has these creepy little habits when interrogating prisoners, and they don't change over the course of 20 years.

 

The last thing he knew in life was a kiss from Ventress.
