Was Obi Wan an established character when ANH came out?

Not one of those films you listed were the first movie in a new series of movies. To see one of the big 3 die in the their first movie in over 30 years would depress a lot of hardcore fans & lower some of their enjoyment. It's cool you can detach yourself from such things, but it'll be harder for many, many others.

Looks like it could possibly be the trench coat version of the sketch leaked a while back...

Then again, it may not be anything Star Wars related at all.

I think I'm more interested in what notes he may have written in that notepad on his lap!

I doubt they would allow him to go wandering around to local airports in parts of his costume. With that said, I believe it's just his regular street clothes, no relation to Star Wars at all.

Likely the case, which is why I'm more interested in the notepad. ;)

I love Blade Runner, I'm just not sure if they can recapture the magic. For all the incredible talent involved, the genius of Blade Runner feels like a happy accident. I do believe there's still a great Indy film in Harrison and Co., and I'd love to see the character get a proper sendoff before the inevitable recast/prequel, but only if Spielberg really wants to make it, and doesn't do it out of obligation or arm twisting.

He's deffo not in costume in that picture. I just wonder why he's anywhere near Carlisle... Maybe he flies all over the UK when not filming.

Generally no, that doesn't happen. But there have been exceptions of actors leaving in costume, or in full make up. Usually when there's an emergency like an injury, or in rare occasions when they get upset. Lou Ferrigno did that during the making of "The Incredible Hulk". Stormed off the set in full make up and drove home. He got a lot stares and some frightened looks as he went.

HanSolo29 No joke. How on Earth is there even speculation that he is in costume? EviL_eLF It is more than likely a flight log.

    You got me there!

I wasn't the one to suggest it. Someone brought it up on the last page...unless it was said sarcastically. Sometimes it's hard to read context through a computer screen.

In Episode 7 Han and Leias marriage will be on the rocks and Han will be kicked out of his bed and forced to sleep on the couch with Chewbacca.

I've heard that story before - do you what happened that caused Ferrigno to do that?

Quite a few mentions of Blade Runner 2 recently. I really struggled with the original when I was younger as I expected a Han Solo type character, I think I was around 12 when I first watched it.

But the film has definitely been a grower over the years. The setting is bleak yet it looks fantastic, the score is great, I love the acting. Quite a change in mood for Harrison at the time and I think it was a good move for his career.

Not sure how a Blade Runner 2 will pan out, but at this stage in his career I see no reason why he shouldn't do it.

What are you talking about? Harrison is Han Solo and dresses like Han whenever he wants to :)

While I've been hoping for a Indy 5 ever since Indy 4, I'm not too sure if this is to be believed, there's no direct quotes or sources in that article.
Personally I'm not sure if going with Spielberg again is the best idea, I didn't hate Indy 4 at all but it is the weakest one, would've been interesting to get another directors take on it.
I feel like some of the older powerfull directors are too surrounded by yes men. Like Ridley Scott on Prometheus (which I liked) but it could've been better and when you actually look it up most of those problems are because of Scott himself who had ideas nobody questioned.
Maybe people just work better when they don't have completely free reign.

Well. This is interesting. The source is still rather suspect, as we don't even get a direct quote or anything, but still, it is interesting nonetheless. They were persistent rumors that part of Ford's negotiations with Disney included not just Star Wars, but at least a deal to pursue a possible new Indiana Jones film. A fifth film could even be likely if we take into consideration rumors and fan speculation that Ford's starring role in Episode VII will basically lead to his character's death.

I know KOTCS divided much of the fan base, but the film was still immensely popular around the globe, and despite all its flaws, Ford was awesome in it. Yes, it was filmed like 7 years ago, and yes, Ford is older, but I honestly think we can still get one more great Indy film. Spielberg, too, is older, and he has a pretty large slate with multiple projects, so I don't even know if this would be on his radar. In fact, he may have indeed moved on from the property, and that's perfectly fine. There are others out there that could do a good job.

I can't remember---was that draft in the haunted castle by Chris Columbus? I know a lot of people like to rag on that draft from the 80s, but I think it could serve as a good basis for a new Indy adventure with Ford.

Either way, we'll probably find out in the next 1-2 years what direction this property will take. I for one hope Ford gets one more film.

I'm sure we've all heard many fans across the Internet complain about the stormtroopers' crappy aim and their hope for a significant improvement on that in the ST.

My question to you: Would you be okay with a main cast character, like Han Solo or Oscar Isaac, being killed by a stormtrooper? If not, what can be done about this situation?

No. Han Solo would not die at the hand of a random stormtrooper. I could actually deal if one of the noobs went down because a stormie got off a lucky shot (be a fun twist) but not any of the OT crew. (Okay, maybe Admiral Ackbar can get picked off by a stormtrooper. I would be okay with that. "IT'S A TRA-" *Bzaaap*)

Yeah, it would be a fun twist, but it would still be attributed to luck rather than skill.
