Also - and this is half-joking I told you so and also half-serious moving forward so we don't have the same boring knee-jerk reactions again (although I know we will so this is probably a waste of time).

If these pics aren't proof that leaks can and do happen, nothing will ever satisfy you.

So next time sites or individuals with a bit of track record behind them post stuff, rather than scream "BS idiots! It's all fake you gullible morons!" maybe remember these pics and see that.

1) they clearly do exist and are not faked up by some fan artist with a lot of time on his hands.

2) this backs up all those early rumours of stormtroopers and the Imperials.

3) That whole Legacy 2 mix up theory? Yeah, right. Toast. (you know who you were)


So track back from here, find out which sites were closest on all this stuff and factor that in on any future stuff.

Maybe. It's hard to tell since the resolution isn't that great and concept art isn't always as detailed as it might be. To me, whoever it is kind of looks like Han. If, and let me stress the conditional aspect of the word, if it is Han and Daisy is playing his daughter and he's either threatened or killed by the big bad, this could give Daisy's character motivation to flirt with the dark side.

 

I always loved that scene in Temple of Doom where Short Round burns Indy with the torch and snaps him out of the blood spell. Maybe something like that on a grander scale where Luke eventually comes to his senses and flips the script.

 

I still say that 3) is the truth.

 

I like them all, I'm not sure which one is my favorite yet.

 

Keep in mind that Jason MakingStarWars said that he was told the cyborg is Luke. It wasn't merely a case of him seeing Luke in the images.

Now this other Sith looking creature looks exactly like Plagueis to me. Only they made him not a Muun, I think, or at least the coolest looking Muun I've ever seen!

I think all the art looks FANTASTIC.

Also, what's funny is, even seeing the pics, I still have no idea or context what's happening!

it would have been cool if it was concept art for every character, most of it is evil cyborg and Kira.

 

I will admit, I was one of those doubters who thought Daisy's (Fawn) life as a junk yard kid was a mix up of Legacy comic; glad to see I was wrong. Plus, I think it is going to be a hard sell to say she is related to anyone else while living like that. The art makes it look well lived in, like she has been there for years and no reason to leave ... well, not yet anyways.

 

Really like the lighting in this one...the right/blue half kinda has a Jabba's Palace vibe to it.

The wrecked Interdictor cruiser in the background of the Hoggswaggle one towing the X-Wing is awesome. I hope that sort of thing makes it into film. I also hope that we get to learn of what battle took place there.

 

Really? I could've sworn @MakingStarWars's article mentioned that he was just speculating / putting pieces together based on all the concept art he's seen.

 

I could see it - although she could probably do just about any character like the rest of the impeccable cast they have chosen! Man is this film really still over a year away?? I don't know if my sanity can last that long!!

No, ManaByte (I think) confirmed they had been told Darth Luke was a thing. But there are other sources out there that disagree on that point. We'll see.

I never had any doubts that the concept art existed, but I always had serious reservations about how it was being handled/interpreted. Some of it looks amazing; a lot of it probably won't even make it into the movie. The art of the pig creature for example looks nothing like the one in the TMZ pics. Conversely, there's a speeder in a couple of those pics that looks virtually identical to one in the TMZ pics.

How some of these pictures have been interpreted shows to me, as I thought they would, that different people have very different interpretations of what is here with what I see: I don't see 'cyborg Luke' at all; I also don't see resignation on the woman's face (maybe Daisy?) where she is being held from behind; I see someone being told something they really don't want to hear. Also nothing to me that remotely suggests that she's about to turn.

If for a minute we assume that the young woman in most of these pictures is Daisy's character, then it is the first real evidence we have that she may be Force Sensitive and wield a lightsabre. That is assuming of course, that this isn't discarded early concepts. If they do use these in the final movie however, then it does seem to me that Daisy has had training before the movie begins. Regardless, I still think there is far more to her character than initially meets the eye if indeed she is living in rough conditions on Maybe-Tatooine. It also reinforces my conviction that she is the central protagonist.

We should nonetheless be mindful of the fact that this is concept art, not production stills. Some of it may provide evidence for certain things, but none of it is solid proof when looked at on its own for what we will get in the final movie.

 

I think that throne room pic might be my favourite. Just stunning. That's what I think could be a vision.

Kira seems to be rocking a Boushh style backpack in that one.

Tony - agree on your interpretations. I would not have said Darth Luke (although if your source Darth Luke, I guess you can't ignore that) and while I see resignation on Kira's face, I think the why is still open to interpretation. Looks like standard gloating villain has hostage/ human shield to me.

Huh. Still not seeing Hamill in either of those pieces of art.

Regarding the red blue "Daisy enters the den/lair" painting - are we just assuming because we've seen the Grave Robber character with his/her hood up in both paintings that this character with his/her hood up is the Grave Robber? Because I'm looking at it and there's nothing that says it can't just be a person.

 

I'm curious is the cyborg on the throne the new rumored Emperor???
