Maybe because it's not him? Physique reminds me of Gwendoline.

So, we see the same costume than on the teaser, this time from up front, we know Driver is as tall as Gwendoline, all the reports claim he is Kylo ren and this art is just him and, as the puppet is a bit thicker than what we saw on the teaser, it's Gwendoline all of a sudden?

    Interesting.

Not really? This is 'action figure leak' thread... art is most definitely a Sith figure aka Kylo. I was talking about the figure... but then again it's reasonable to say it's Kylo as well.

Well, first of all I was kind of joking, but even when you think about the toy. The toy has the same mask that the Kylo Ren art, and it features the same costume than the Kylo we saw in the teaser. And, remember, we have already seen Gwen Christie look:

I blame the EU for the design of the Jedi robes. I don't know if Lucas directly took that idea, but "traditional brown jedi robes" have been talked about for a while in the novels. Basically, the authors took the idea of Ben and ghost Anakin's robes and turned them into Jedi clothes. Maybe the artists were fan of the EU and designed the clothes for the PT and Lucas liked it...who knows.

Makes total sense. Get these out asap, get them in the hands of the kiddies, get them familiar with the new people, reintroduce them to the "BIG" furry hulking hero with the cool gadgets and weapon, and the new bad ass mysterious villians. Makes total sense. Provides visibility.

Get some vehicles out there also. Get the Crosssaber out there and the 3 foot Millenium Falcon out and you are gold. Market the hell out of it. Maybe some Disney Infinity release also, which is really popular nowadays, to coincide with the release and get them in there, this generation of the little stupid scanner things that came with the prequal figures. Disney Infinity would be killer.

Yeah, with the main release of TFA merch in September, I think it's safe to expect some preview toys this summer.

(And they've already announced a Star Wars expansion of Disney Infinity, if I recall correctly...)

The thought that we could have TFA toys as soon as this summer is very exciting! [face_dancing]

I suppose it makes sense when you look at the Jedi robes sort of like a priest's robes or a monk's robes, but then the Clone Wars happened and they were still wearing those same outfits during battle and it sort of started to fall apart. Not that it didn't make them look any less awesome, but still.

I can already hear it when JJ Abrams Star Wars The Force Awakens comes out in 3D... "It's so real! It feels like the lens flares are coming right at me!"

They probably won't make many vehicles for this scale; don't expect a Falcon for them. They'll probably modify the "BMF" from a few years ago with a new dish and maybe a couple other features for the 3.75" line.

I know a little old guy with the same hairdo. In fact, give the ape a human nose and mouth, and they'd look almost identical. He's not as cute as the baby ape, though.

If that helmet thing is for Kylo Ren, and Kylo Ren is indeed Adam driver, then any rumors about him being a "villain in the vein of Darth Vader" sounds even more true now…

Lucas wasn't bound by the EU. Lucas, at one point, wanted Luke's ROTJ outfit to be the traditional Jedi outfit. But in having Anakin's ghost looking like Obi-wan's, this idea went out the door. Note that in EU stories such as "Tales Of The Jedi", the Jedi and Sith didn't wear anything like what's in the films. And it is only Luke's Jedi Order that wore just a brown hooded robe. It wasn't until TPM was being made, that the EU began making the Jedi robes like those in the films. In fact, one of the earliest issues of the "Star Wars" monthly series from Marvel depicted Obi-wan looking like this...

Does this suggest that Chewie will be a 'main' character going forward? Perhaps once his previous partner becomes.. unavailable?

We know the big 3 will be 'passing the torch' but it makes a lot of sense that he would continue to carry it for a while, given his ability to appear unchanged and for anyone to play him.
