Well, at least this adds a little more possibility to my theory that the inquisitors are those force sensitive youths the empire has been raising, but have been genetically modified with dna of the Son and Daughter from Mortis turning them into, more or less, clones. It would also explained why they have numbers in their name (similar to the clone troopers). Filoni does like to mess with the fans so in a way he could be "partly" telling the truth if the Grand Inquisitor turns out to be a genetically modified clone of the Son.

Of course this could just be my "I WANT TO SEE MORTIS AGAIN" side coming through again and my theory could mean squat.

Filoni already mentioned a year or more ago, that some Jedi willing turned to the Dark Side to escape being killed and thus swore allegiance to the Sith. Vader already said in the extended cut of the 1st season premiere either convert them or kill them.

FB is based on TFA concept art and the trivia gallery says that FB's species is yet to be revealed. I wonder if another member of FB's species will appear in TFA.

I fail to see how these Inquistors are relevant. If your Grand Inquistor cant curbstomp a Padawan who hasnt even finished his training then how are they doing crap to Jedi Knights......Masters sure call Vader but they are even on Knight Level.

How in the world would the Empire even get the DNA of the Son and Daughter?

Think it's kinda pathetic that Kanan managed to defeat the Grand Inquisitor

Well, we already know from the trailer that Kanan got beaten by these two new inquisitors so it's not like he got an "Auto-Win Against Inquisitors For A Lifetime" ticket after he beat the Grand Inquisitor last season.

I have an idea about who the Inquisitor may have been in The Clone Wars.

Bear in mind the production team comments that the Inquisitor's species wasn't decided upon until after the Clone Wars was cancelled, and Filoni's comments that some Jedi turned to the Dark Side to serve the Empire. Also the age given in official sources would make him an adult in his late twenties, old enough to be a full Jedi Knight or at least highly experienced Padawan.

Due to the martial nature of the Jedi Temple Guards and the fact that they wore masks and wielded double bladed weapons, it makes sense that The Grand Inquisitor was one of them. Perhaps even one of the Guards that stood beside Bariss as she condemned the Jedi Order for betraying its principles. The Clone Wars had several Jedi fall to the Dark Side... Krell, Bariss, Vos, Anakin... it makes sense that a combat orientated Jedi Knight would disagree with the order over many matters and be susceptible to the influence of the Dark Side.

That is a very good idea! Him being a Jedi Temple Guard makes sense as we never saw their faces

The Grand Inquisitor was, according to Filoni, equivalent (in terms of skill and potential) to a Jedi Knight. I'm guessing the Seventh Sister was, too. As for the Fifth Brother (if that is his name), I wonder if he will be canon fodder for Ahsoka. They'll give her one victory against an Inquisitor before being killed off by Vader.

I think the Grand Inquisitor was in the Clone Wars, but not on-screen...

TCW Children of the Force, Palpatine, "Choose four children and bring them to Mustafar."

Yoda, 1) "A jungle world, dome cities I see. Rodia it is, a house in Kay Tap Square."

    2) "There's an ocean planet, home to Nautolans, Glee Anselm? Glee Anselm I see not. I sense A place I've been to before."

    3) "Waterfalls. Naboo. Jan-Gwa. A village, southern sector.Sense it strongly, I do. The Gungan child was screaming."

    4) "You are certain there is no child on Glee Anselm? Into the shadow of the dark side taken the child was. Shrouded is his fate from us. Great the loss is."

I'm thinking that the Fifth Brother could be the child from the ocean planet as he does appear aquatic....

I've figure out what his hat reminds me of. It similar to Blista-Vanee's hat from ROTJ, in fact I wouldn't be surprised at all if Filoni says thats where they got it from:

Now I wonder what Filoni meant by saying that the Grand Inquisitor was in TCW - was he actually shown in person? Or was he just mentioned, being there without us knowing it. The only thing that comes to mind (which also makes sense) is the Children of the Force episode.

I don't recall see a pau'an in TCW, unless The Son was one. But, if I recall, The Ones are a separate race altogether.

The Utapau arc of TCW, while the animation itself is unfinished, had them - might be what's being referenced.

Agreed, I loved the battle with the Pau'an and Kanan in Season 1 finale, but now that I find out he's the *GRAND* inquisitor and not just some joe-blow outer rim darkside sheriff like I previously thought, it makes that scene much more ridiculous. the fact that I thought Kanan defeated a low level force-user was a much more satisfying first victory/stepping stone for the hero's imo.

I mean really, compare Kyle Katarn's nemesis Jerec to the season 1 "grand" inquisitor, Jerec would have not been curb stomped by Kanan.

Pablo refers to them as cult. I wonder if Inquistorius later become the Knights of Ren. Notice how the Knights have similar armour and appearance to the Inquisitors.

"I am the Inquisitor", the dope himself did know he was the "Grand" Inquisitor at the time. [face_whistling]

I mentioned a long time ago, these Inquisitor's seem to have replaced the Jedi Temple Guards, and they're probably stationed in the Imperial Palace which is a converted Jedi Temple and they serve as elite guards and hunters much like the Shadow Guards of TFU. Only other Jedi seen using double-bladed lightsabers was Pong Krell, maybe he was his padawan?![face_cowboy]

You ain't the only one who noticed that. Kylo uses an Inquisitor interrogation technique in the last trailer. Wonder where he learned that from:
