Well they looked like black skinny jeans to me, but either way, the combo gave the appearance of hobbit pants, the odd sort of trousers that end 6 inches too short.

The impersonation IMO was really spot on, didn't suck.

Only thing that sucked was John & Daisy's involvement so I can understand why some of you thought it was nothing to see, but the few cameos killed it!

I thought the impersonations were awful. If those were at least good the skit would have been better.

The Sofia Vergara one was spot on. The others, not so much.

"The force coming out of my mouth" Chris Tucker, not good impersonation?

I enjoy the live element and watching comedians "jam" like musicians and improvise when needed. Sometimes jokes fall flat, but it's still fun to watch the performers use their talents. Most of the impressions were humorous and I respect how difficult it is to do that job.

At one point Boyega mentions the force is controlled through the eyes. Is this a reference to Maz?

hmmm, this contradicts when Luke had his helmet on during training to have a better tuning to the force. So the eyes don't have anything to do with the force, the eyes can deceive you is said instead.

The way he delivered the line about "eyes" was like it was new info to him as a fan reading it for the first time. The very next beat was George Lucas impersonator finger wagging the concept. At least that's how I saw it.

Maybe it's just a joke. Maybe it's spoiler info?

what is really funny is that everyone thinks SNL was funnier in their day. For instance I think it was best when they had Poeler, Fallon, Fey, Tracy Morgan, etc. People older than me think it was best with Farrel, people older than them live and die by Farley and Sandler, etc. People younger than me think it was best when it had Wiig, Hader, Seth Green, Sudecus (spelling ya), etc.

Basically people tend to favor the cast that was on during their high school and college years.

That was JJ's voice responding to Lucas's request for a Coke Zero, in case you did not catch that.

I genuinely can't believe people still watch that awful show. It's like MTV, it's been around for decades and has been garbage for longer than it's been good.

It was good but the one they did a number of years ago was better. As for SNL, there is some funny stuff on it still like Celebrity Family Feud and back when Hader was still on it, Stefon and Califorians but unless there is a really good host guest, the show just really isn't that great anymore. The talent simply is not what it used to be. To me the early to mid 90's was just absolutely fantastic and even the later 90's when Farrell made his presence to say nothing about it going back to when it was like this:

Your just never going to see talent like that together again. Very sad really. :(
