Sidious gets snappy with Luke in the Throne Room. Especially when:

 

Funny story: a while ago my family and I were playing "favorite lightsider/darksider" while waiting for our food at a restaurant. I told my husband to guess mine. He told me he wouldn't even dignify lightsider with a response, haha.

He then called my favorite darksider as Sidious when I was all ready to say Vader. I said, "no, it's Vader" and my husband says, "um NO WAY, you totally love the emperor. THINK ABOUT HIS LINES, AMJ." And I had to concede. Vader is a damned close second but Sidious is an hilarious and amazing crazypants. So I guess in both light and dark side, I give my love to the Scotsmen.

 

That's too much for me. I'm not a masochist

 

is it just me or is Obi-Wan a mega pimp in this pic? He's gettin it everywhere from politicians to a Sith Apprentice

 

I have to say, there is something genuinely comical about Sidious at the end of ROTS, in particular with his fight with Yoda.

The moment he gets pushed by Yoda using the Force and how he falls into his own chair is absolutely priceless.

 

Also, I would like to point out two heavily ironic things:

1) Me using a GIF of TFA to explain my pro-prequel stance
2) Me putting a JJ Abrams movie in my list of favorite movies

 

I was calling foul on some of those pictures! Ventress did kiss somebody on the cheek, but I don't recall it being Obi-wan!

Lol, I think Asajj kind of liked Obi-wan though now that I think of it. She seemed a little flirtatious in their confrontations.

She certainly was flirtatious when they fought, but Obi-wan seemed to "flirt" right back! I'm not certain what their dynamic was...

well there was a little something there lol. I know Obi-wan wouldve never been with her though. She ended up being with Quinlan Vos but it was only shown thru comic books since TCW got cancelled.

So I'm going to do an analysis of this because the picture itself is practically begging for it



So we have Obi-Wan peering at Ventress, and Satine looks absolutely miserable. Meanwhile, Anakin is doing his best "Pouty Skywalker." Also, Obi-Wan looks thoroughly disturbed at Ventress planting that kiss on his cheek. Then we have Obi-Wan telling what seems to be an incredibly flirtatious story to Bo-Katan, while Sugi looks on in an almost comical look of absolute disgust.

And to top it all of, we have Anakin walking in on Obi-Wan and Padme making out

 

I posted what I feel is a nuanced response, so we'll see if I get creamed for it. We are a little smoother over here because we hate sand, but I do agree that each board is like its own planet with its own population.

 

I visited the site and theyve got a pic of Rihanna wearing a TPM skirt! I approve!

 

I love it here and fear all other places.

Also, in re: that image. Everyone wants obi-wan. It's an actual fact.

And Darkslayer, but Bo kind of seemed weirdly into him at the end of The Lawless, yes? That was odd, I mean, it was a war zone and her sister who she also mostly seemed to have hated was just killed like 17 minutes prior. I don't know what to make of that. Maybe Mandalore just had a major thing for Kenobi, in general. Like more than the rest of the Galaxy.

 

So for the PT fans obviously lurking here, which way do you introduce Star Wars to someone ? 1-6 or 4-5-6-1-2-3? I think both ways are fine because everyone knows who Vader is whether they have seen SW or not so if you show them Ep1-3, theyll be shocked once they realize he is Vader. But it ruins the surprise of the "I am your father" moment in Ep.5...Now if you show it to them with the OT first then the PT, it ruins the surprise of Anakin becoming Vader but keeps in tact the father surprise. Thoughts?

 

if i had kids, which i don't , i'd show them 1-6
and i'd probably show them each one for like a year to let it sink in plus i wouldn't show a 5 year old ROTS

 

Padawan4687, I didn't know you were a TCW-first fan. That's really cool. I'm fascinated by the different generations of fans and their approaches to SW.

It makes me feel really old, but it's also really cool.

 

I showed my son 4-6 first. Honestly I didn't even think about it much, the OT was just handier on the particular multimedia device we were using at the moment and I thought he'd get a kick out of the twist in 5. It didn't matter, he loves the PT more than the OT. Today I told him that a lot of people think 1 and 2 are the worst ones and he was AGHAST. Aghast, I say.

 

I fell in love with the series with 4-6 and 1-3. Also, surprisingly not everyone knows about the father reveal, even while knowing the quote through pop culture. I think you could also use the machete version with TPM, so 4-5-1-2-3-6.
