That was an amazing concept record for sure. One of the first underground albums I bought along with Jedi Mind Tricks Violent By Design and Cunninlynguists A Piece of Strange.

Compton? Yeah. It was fun but it didn't stay with me much. The tracks with Dot are the only ones I wanted to listen to a few times.

I thought Compton was Dre's most cohesive project since The Chronic. 2001 had amazing first half but the second fell off. Deep Water with Kendrick was dope af but I really liked For The Love of Money.

 

Never got into Jedi Mind Tricks despite a few people tryin' ta get me to listen over the years...but...you just inspired me to push play on Strange Journey vol 3 by CunninLynguists with a little Del the Funky Homosapien.

Jedi Mind Tricks are definitely an acquired taste for sure. VBD is the only album from them I can have on repeat. Stoupe is a Godly producer. Strange Journey Vol. 3 is amazing. Sadistik I believe is on there and he's one of my fave now. I know Deacon released his solo record but I still gotta check it. Lol
