ST The Romantic Future of Kylo Ren and Rey

When it comes to the pick-up lines I can imagine Anakin's force ghost trying to give his grandson some tips but Kylo will say, "Thanks grandpa, I got this!" lol

If I recall correctly Sakura also had dreams/visions of Syaoran before their first meeting. Then he tried to take the cards from her by force but she resisted.

It's funny that Kylo shares many similarities with Syaoran; both are cold, frank, snarky and awkward.

 

AD in a tux during that awards show where he won Best Actor (Volpi cup?) is the most handsome I have ever seen him. And he had the perfect Kylo Ren hair too...

Love the gender-reversal art for some weird reason! It really puts into perspective how different things would be if we were looking at a male hero here. Not nearly as compelling mind you, but interesting nonetheless. I like the bit with "Rey" removing the helmet especially. A fair, youthful face beneath monstrous helmet, hard not to point out the attraction subtext, though I would never personally advocate that Rey had any conscious feelings of attraction for Ren. If she did they were completely subconscious.

Getting your saber arm lopped off is practically a right-of-passage for young Skywalkers. If Ren has a mechanical arm people will finally have to shut up about how he's a "Solo" not a "Skywalker," despite containing as much Vader DNA as any of Luke's hypothetical offspring.

 

I think they are doing what Obi-Wan did when he said Vader murdered Luke's father. I like the theory that "destruction"=turn to the dark side. Kylo Ren said he destroyed Ben and all many(all?) sources say he destroyed the new jedi. I like the idea that he turned all the students into knights of ren, but it isn't a very strong theory, I'm afraid.

Star Wars Wikia has a page for the "jedi massacre" and says Ren killed them, but it cites the Visual Dictionary as evidence, which is very ambiguous, so I think we still have room for speculation.

It would be really powerful for us to think Ren killed all the Jedi, and then for them to turn the story around and surprise us. That could be a reason for misdirection. What is the reason for the ambiguity? If he did kill them, why not come out and say it clearly?

 

I know those tux photos of Adam (for Hungry Hearts?) are some of my favorite of him! He has the most gorgeous hair and you can see his hazel eyes... I'm going to go look at them now.

Btw, the latest pic I think I've seen of him is at the Zoolander premiere in early Feb. it may have been posted here. He seems to be growing out his hair, but it's not quite at Kylo Ren length yet.

Hey, would it be foreshadowing to consider, maybe when Kylo Ren says "I see it, I see the island".... It isn't Luke's island he is referring to, maybe it is another Island, maybe it could be an Island he'll bring Rey to, to teach her.

Edit: they WERE policing youtube for a while, taking down videos with bootleg footage....but I think they've given up on that....there's actually a Reylo video with more than 1 million views...holy cow!!!!!!!

Not sure about this site, but Disney does indeed have reps who sift through internet postings.

I have frequented a forum for many years where they read on a daily basis ( non-Star Wars related ) and it's nice to know someone is paying attention to the comments people make there.
We talk about every aspect of the Disney Company there and it's many divisions, but we mostly talk about the Theme Parks.
Some of the folks working for Disney have created accounts there over the years, posing as 'new posters' to counter balance a heated debate when it hits a nerve.
Been going on for years there. It's actually quite entertaining.
Seasoned posters can usually spot them from a mile away based on the tone of their comments....or a tip off from a trusted insider.


I'm sure there may well be bothan spies among us here.....although there is nothing i have seen thus far to make me suspect officially.

Anyone, anywhere can read these threads so anything is indeed possible and probably likely.

 

just speculation it bit of stretch but i think JJ literally drop a hint of force bond between rey and ren by intentionally put daniel craig (james bond actor) who play strormtrooper( even his strormtrooper number is JB-007) who get mind tricked by rey . James bond and Force bond is kinda rhyme you know and from what i read he play the role for sh-ts and grins

maybe im over analyzing but if the force bond turn out to be true JJ clearly a clever bastard

 

We did discuss the datacard scene a few days back...in the film, only Snoke, Hux and Kylo are present when Snoke gives the order for the Ileenium system (where the resistance is based) to be destroyed. In the script, it is mentioned that Kylo is stunned because this was not what he meant at all.

Then we have a scene of Hux ordering the starkiller weapon to be charged but he never mentions any target.

In the next scene, we have the resistance base and Leia getting the datacard.

Whether Kylo sent the datacard is conjecture but circumstantial evidence supports it....

1. Only three people are aware of the target of the starkiller weapon i.e. Snoke, Hux and Kylo.

2. The TFA novel mentions that Kylo's living quarter has a couple of consoles in it....so he had the means to send a datacard without attracting attention.

3. In the released excerpt from the Bloodline novel, there is mention of a warning to Leia....
Leia settled into her chair, picked up her napkin — and stopped.
Something was written on the paper streamer on her plate. Actual writing. Virtually nobody wrote any longer; it had been years since Leia had seen actual words handwritten in ink on anything but historical documents.
But today, someone had left this message on her plate, only one word long:
RUN.

Someone is warning Leia of danger for a second time. I don't think it is Snoke or Hux so it has to be Kylo.

4. In the EU, there is an instance where Ulic Quel Droma sends a message to someone using a servant droid because he would be discovered if he used the Force to convey the message. Similarly, Snoke would find out if Kylo sent Leia messages using the Force.

This is all speculation of course....but it is plausible that Kylo is trying to keep Leia safe, even if he otherwise believes in the FO.

 

If this is true, I'm melting.

 

What if the things at the end of her stick are her parents lightsaber or lightsaber hilt shells? Straight away they are highlighted when we first meet her

It would also make sense for Luke to still be in possession of obi wans lightsaber right?

 

I would have loved a situation where Rey's parents lightsaber hilt shells are still in her possession, but the visual dictionary already mentions that Rey's staff is something she salvaged....maybe she added the shells to the ends later?

There seems to be an underground market for lightsabers and artifacts based on the related novels and comics....maybe some black marketeer is selling Obiwan's lightsaber and Rey finds it?

I read about how Obiwan and a jedi named Siri Tachi were in love (I think they were lovers) in the EU but Yoda and Qui Gon put an end to it, and they kept away from each other till she was killed...just before she died, she gave Obiwan a blue warming crystal (is it symbolic of something more than love?)......I'm still hoping that Obiwan has a descendant somehow.....so hoping they had a child Obiwan didn't know about while he was still alive
