He was so good that I thougt they dubbed him.
It's a song from the 60s from a popular songwriter (Domenico Modugno).
That' not even italian, is neapolitan... a southern dialect.
I must admit that I would sound foreigner too If I tried :)

Yeah - and the Beast was Belle's love interest, not the other way round...

I think a lot of people, both men and women, recoil from the idea of female-centric romance because they expect it to cater to "female sensibilities" which they've been conditioned to see as something mushy and saccharine. I agree that it's a weird double standard. If a male protagonist has a love story, it's just a part of the story, however important a part. But if a female protagonist has a love story, the story becomes a romance by default in many people's minds. It doesn't make much sense.

I really think it has a lot to do with the way females have been written in love stories.I can understand why they would not want the same thing to happen to Rey I don't either but it's kind of annoying how some of them take Rey being a Skywalker as a fact when Kylo's interest in Rey is just as obvious.
The funny thing is that one can think that Rey's parentage would be the most talked thing yet specifically in this forum the Reylo thread had passed the Rey parentage one in TFA.
When I first found this thread I honestly thought it would be getting the kind of comments the Kylo red, potion thread is but it's so refreshing to see fans who're welcoming different origin than Skywalker for Rey and don't think Kylo is an unredeemable monster.
I think you might be one of the earlier people who started posting on this thread but when it was first created did you think it would go onto almost 1000 pages? It's so hard to believe this is currently the largest thread on the episode 8/9 and TFA discussion boards(if we exclude those that stated before the movie was released). For all the talk about how crazy and impossible Reylo is it attracts both people who love and hate it which is actually a good thing. It would be worrisome if fans were indifferent to it.

Some more Daisy to balance out the Kybro

Plus, can we take a moment to appreciate the perfection that is this picture (couldn't find a larger one, sorry :( ):

If there was one picture from the entirety of TFA I would choose to frame and hang on my wall, it'd be this one.

Then you saw him in person. What did he look like? Because actors don't look the same when you see them in person. Very often they disappoint you. In other cases it's just the opposite.

I think Rey's parentage theories have been debunked, and that's why it's not as much talked about, except for people who insist on insisting on whatever they've always believed.

As to thinking this thread would go so far, nope, but I was happy this thread was created. I posted I think on the Rey thread, asking: "did you guys see the sexual tension?', and people agreed, though they tinterpreted it as being creepier or abusive. I was glad someone posted specifically about this topic, and it took a while, but more and more people came on board to claim they saw something between Kylo and Rey. I'm glad I'm not the only one...

This thread has gone far, and it has a lot of interesting discussion on storytelling. (Or at least perhaps that's my excuse to keep posting here).

FrolickingFizzgig =D= Great breakdown of fairy tale tropes and why ST is not a Gothic/Monster story. Just to add qoutes from the master himself. GL "He then wanted to focus on making a film that was geared more towards kids, and combined elements of mythology and serials of the day, like Flash Gordon. Star Wars was meant to be new mythology for kids trying to find their way in a bigger world, and he felt that some of that was lost when westerns stopped being popular".

Did anyone notice in the bootleg version of this film there is some guy in the bottom left corner who is constantly rubbing the back of his head!!!! His elbow is forever in the air!! I pity whoever sat behind that guy.

Great quote! I'll definitely add that in. And thank you. Part Three is probably going to be the best of them all.

I love this, and it's very difficult to believe it has nothing to do with Ren's name, because SW has borrowed a lot from Asian mythology, iconography and lore. This is amazing

FrolickingFizzgig that essay is brilliant, well done! Speaking of Spirited Away, the relationship between Chihiro and Haku is mighty familiar.... And Haku started on the side of the enemy until she helped 'free' him from his 'prison'..... And he had amazing hair. [face_dancing]

Redheadism is a recessive trait, because the world can only handle so much awesomeness. Too much would be broblematic!
